❄️ Munkha | Dir. @alexmoruo & @the.markel
(Idioma: Sakha / Yakuto)

(Idioma: 'Ōlelo Hawai'i)

Collective strength.

When communities collaborate, they can often build broader coalitions to advocate for equitable policies, support one another during crises, and create lasting institutions that benefit many people.

imagineNATIVE 2026 & Indigenous Film Criticism Fellowship, pt 1 🎞️✨

binge watching films and binge catch ups with storytelling family.

i was honored to be the iN festival poster child too (the things that i didn't even know i had on my bucket list).

it all went so fast again and the festival symbiosis got very real this time.

Giitu, thank you @imaginenative - it was yet again transformational and magical 💜

Mārama has been the gift that keeps on giving. But the best gift of all has been community!

I’ve spoken a lot about my love for Toronto and the creative buzz I’ve felt after meeting so many incredible Indigenous artists over the last few months. So getting to come back for @imaginenative (AND co-presented by the best @maorilandfilm) was a DREEAAAM.

Thank you so much imagineNATIVE and the Moon Jury for awarding me w/ Most Outstanding Performance in a feature. WILD!! An honour. And with that allowing me to be in my favourite spaces. Genuinely each night I was there I jumped around my room with joy.

Thank you!!

Also the last time I was in Toronto I didn’t post any photos, so first few slides are TIFF, then imagineNATIVE. I have way too many and not enough at all.

Ending with my love for team Mārama!! I’m infinitely grateful for you all. There’d be far less jumping around rooms without you 🩶 wish you were all there this time round too!

My trip to @imaginenative was transformative and I was so inspired by @blizzzyyy_ ‘s industry workshop programming. Hope to return next year to learn even more! So excited to bring what I’ve learned to my work at @nwfilmforum
