It's been over a year since I moved from the other side of the world, attempting to settle a little more day by day on this new continent. It's never an easy path—the endless rain, the never-on-time transportation, the days that grew dark at 4 pm, the time I cried in bed listening to Taylor Swift just because of some boys I went on only a few dates with, and the moments when you lose a sense of belonging. But we've managed a lot: a master's degree, a stunning apartment (in fuckin Amsterdam) came with my good friend as my flatmate, job offers, solo trips and a group of friends I get to call my chosen family. Just a quick note to remind myself not to forget that everything I have right now is what I once hoped for, and most importantly, to celebrate every big and little win 🤌🏽
