Thank You for an amazing Family Fun Day! 🌈✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Family Fun Day yesterday. The rain might have made an appearance, but it definitely didn’t dampen our spirits! 💛

Our families enjoyed a brilliant mix of carnival games, face painting, candy floss and popcorn, a magic show plus a fantastic tombola and raffle with prizes up for grabs 🍿🎉

We were delighted to welcome @merseysidepolice, @mersey_fire, and @enterprisecreditunion, who joined us for the day to offer friendly money advice and support.

A big thank you to our friends at @wearerudyspizza who kindly donated 12 delicious pizzas for everyone to enjoy 🍕

A special thank you goes to the Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, @peteroliveruk for visiting us. It was a privilege to show him the work we do and how we support families across North Liverpool.

And a huge thank you to all of the fantastic staff who made this happen 💛

Thanks to your generosity, we raised an incredible £420, a wonderful way to wrap up Summer Holiday Club! 🥳

We made this happen together, and we couldn’t be prouder to have stood beside Centre 56 this weekend. Your work isn’t a couple of days a year; it’s every single day, so getting to show up for you felt right in every sense.

@alexrigby91 ran a 5K every hour through the night without stopping. Around him, over 300 of us turned up to walk, run and cheer, raising £22,000 and counting, across 3,970km. Three events in, we’ve now raised over £110,000 together for @centre_56_nursery

But the real win was the people we did this for, and the friends we made doing it: new ones found while cheering each other over the line, old ones reunited mid-run, strangers turned teammates by the end of it.

Brilliant days. We all should be proud! 👏🏽

We did it! 🏃⏰

A huge congratulations to Alex Rigby, the team of runners, and everyone who took part in Running the Railways: On the Hour 2026👏

Despite the weekend heat, 47 runners took on the challenge of running 5km every hour for 24 hours, with 26 Merseyrail colleagues joining throughout the event.

The event has already smashed its target of £24,000 and is hoping to raise more than £30,000 to support children affected by domestic abuse and crisis situations💛

Well done to everyone who took part in this year’s challenge! Alex, the Centre 56 team, and all of us at Merseyrail are incredibly proud and grateful for what we have collectively achieved for the third year in a row.

There’s still time to donate so check out @centre_56_nursery page for more info🔗

What a weekend! 💙

It all started on Friday when we were invited by @fpcfinplan to the @mwoty_awards. It was beyond inspiring to hear so many incredible stories of women making a real difference across our region.

A special mention has to go to @moiraoshae from FPC. She has been a fantastic supporter of the campaign since we first met, and she’s a legend in her own right. It was so lovely to watch her daughters looking on with such pride as she delivered a brilliant speech. Moments like that remind us just how important role models are.

From there, we headed straight to support the incredible @alexrigby91 from @centre_56_nursery as he took on another unbelievable challenge – Running the Railways 3. Running 5K every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours! 🤯

I am in absolute awe of @alexrigby91 determination, commitment and passion for making a difference. He has an amazing ability to bring communities together to achieve something extraordinary.

The message I’ve heard time and time again this weekend is that we are stronger together. We’re living in very divided times, but when people come together, support one another and work as one team, incredible things can happen.

A huge thank you to @fpcfinplan and @alexrigby91 for a top-tier weekend filled with positivity, resilience, inspiration and, as we say in Liverpool… it was just “boss!”

Thank You, Laura ❤️
