It was an amazing night at the @XLPLondon’s 30 Anniversary seeing so many of the truly amazing young people that I had the privilege serving as well as catching up with former colleagues. Most of my young people are now 24-34 and it’s incredible to see how they have grown.
I was part of XLP for 14 years, 7 years with the Gunz Down Schools tour and 7 years as the Arts Director, auditioning talent , putting on showcase, taking them to concerts and supporting their creative development and I am still doing it, although unfortunately XLP are no longer running the showcase program.
This is where the foundation for my work with @ELAMhq @MusicPotential @bigMusicUK and @MOBO.UnSung. Great to see so many faces

If you get nervous when public speaking, read this😬

Yesterday, l exhibited and spoke at a business event called Dragons Nest. I have always loved public speaking.

That doesn’t mean I don’t get nervous or don’t make any mistakes.

What I have done is, successfully brainwash myself into believing this one principle.

🎯I believe I have value to share

Breathing, remaining calm and structuring a talk are the skills to take your speaking to a professional level.

However, the primary root of mustering up enough confidence to get on talk in public in the first place, is knowing you have unique value to share.

When I say unique value I don’t mean coming up with a ground breaking idea.

I simply mean your story and experiences.

They are both unique and there are people out there who need your specific way of communicating.
