Growing up, I always felt very disconnected from my heritage. Learning more about the language, food, art, music, and geography of México reminded me that this knowledge was not lost-it just wasn’t as easy to access. I’m so grateful for friends that passionately remind me there are still pathways to understanding and experiencing that part of my culture and my family history, in my own way.

It’s such a privilege to be able to return to this incredible city. I know it’s not one many people have right now. I hope these photos display all the love I have for this place and the people who live there and I hope they make you rethink what you’ve always been told about them.

Until next time. ❤️‍🔥
