What makes someone want to stand in front of a roomful of strangers and try to make them laugh? For Alex Tighe, it started with a painfully shy 14-year-old, a Spanish lesson and one completely accidental joke. His route into stand-up since then has included anxiety, walking away from comedy altogether, coming back eight years later, roast battles, some painful nights on stage — and an ongoing feud with Southport… My latest profile for Liverpool Noise is coming very soon... Alex Tighe on anxiety, second chances and the strange magic of making strangers laugh. #AlexTighe #LiverpoolComedy #StandUpComedy #LiverpoolNoise #LiverpoolCulture

Guess what?! It's another act announcement for the @liverpoolgaymesfair Girls, Gays and Theys show on Sat 11th July... 👀 It's the hysterical @alextcomedian ✨️ . Alex is a rising star thanks to his unique blend of anxious charm, dark punchlines, and sharp timing. His endearing awkwardness and quietly magnetic presence have quickly made him a favourite with audiences and bookers alike. It wouldn't be a nerdy gig without him 😌 you guys are in for a lot of laughs with this line-up so make sure to grab those tickets 🥳 . #girlsgaysandtheys #comedynight #liverpoolgaymesfair #funtimes #comedians
