🏁 @red_centrenats is done and dusted!
📍I want to thank this amazing event for bringing these sounds to the Red Centre!!

❤️ For a small business I have dreamed to get behind the stories and the vibe on this event! And I feel this year was amazing for our small business for what we saw and heard! We were the official earring supplier for this epic event and so many more connections were made…

🎈Thursday night we sold out of balloons in 4 minutes as the MC Nigel gave us a huge plug on the council lawns as Archie and I were dancing by the stage. This event had THE BEST vibe. Archie and I stayed behind to just soak in the night. @therockbarasp was pumping and @bojanglessaloon was all lit out after the motorcyclists had gone through for the world record attempt.

🏍️ I met Leith Darrach, an accomplished Australian motorcycle drag racer, and he came over on Friday to pick up the NT shape border checkered lapel pin 🏁 to wear in his races.

🎈 Friday we couldn’t keep up making the balloons fast enough and people were messaging me, that they were seeing these at the live crosses.

🚨 The burn outs were insane - the vibe was next level.

🏍️ Highlight of the weekend was probably fanning over Leith for his races 🫣😂 and having Archie and Evie getting to sit on his bike. He could see us with the LED balloons 😂 We also got to meet Dean Jamison fresh after his win. Both guys were so down to earth, let us take photos and put up with my kids!

📺 On Saturday our designs were seen @thetodayshow on @alheinks. He probably has no idea who I am 😂 so hoping he sees this and connects the lapel pin to the business. A small gesture means so much for an Alice Springs founded business like mine and we were cheering from the TV. Thanks to @mr_timdavies for tips. @alipiotrowski @kinson16 👌

🙋🏼‍♀️ MC Laura from @mulletfesttm, gave us a huge plug and wore our designs all weekend - this is just priceless for us 💯

❤️ Thanks to the amazing volunteers that make this event possible and everyone that works behinds the scenes. That’s the media, merchandise and managers I worked with that gave a small business like mine, a chance

July 2026: The Taste of Village - Strathfield. 4.15/5

July cuz took us to some less travelled pastures in Strathfield, specifically The Taste of Village. Restaurant was quite full for a Monday night so early signs were good. Very swiftly the juicy chicken tikka, samosas the size of a fist and pani puri came out - the positives were growing. But, this is where the group started to divide. Butter chicken (good to be back), vindaloo, goan fish and saag - the aim was to go back to basics with the curries. The overall reviews were mixed and this primarily came down to the aforementioned. We have never had such a high standard deviation in the voting range, 3 - 4.95. One thing was unanimous though, the fish curry was pleasant on the eyes but tasted like a pheasant in disguise. Lastly, the naan was soft, the lassies sweet and the kingfishers cold - play on. #ICWT

May 2026: Bombay Bloomers, Neutral Bay. 4:53/5.

A solid 10-strong MNCC crew arrived to find a nearly empty restaurant. The decor and fit out is modern, without much traditional Indian feel. Though a cosy, warm setting. The music matched the vibe, more classic hits than an Indian purist kinda deal.
Now to the food, the entrees really came out kicking. They set the bar high with visually impressive dishes that matched with impressive taste. Garlic Prawns and a great chicken dish all cooked in the tandoor were filled with flavour.
The mains continued to impress, though with some of the crew felt our choice in fish curry and lamb tasted very similar.
A common reason for a few lower scores was due to a big wait between entree’s and mains being served, though apart from that the service was attentive and also very friendly.
In total - a score of 4.53 which places this just outside the top 10 out of 65. Made even noteworthy due to a high attendance to give it solid credit. #ICWT

April 2026: Asees Indian Restaurant, Harris Park. 4.08/5.

The restaurant was absolutely packed, loud, chaotic, and somehow still had the Curry Club wondering how we ended up eating chicken bosciola as an entree. The attendance was elite, the energy was undeniable, yearning aggressive over-ordering like a group that had never seen naan before. The mango lassis also arrived looking less like yoghurt drinks and more like cocktails from a rooftop bar.

The weird part was that none of the food was terrible, just oddly confusing. Every dish came out with massive confidence but flavours that hovered around “pretty decent pub curry night.” The packed restaurant suggested greatness, but the food never fully got there. Still, between the chaos and the accidental comedy of the whole experience, Asees somehow stumbled its way to a very Curry Club. #ICWT #CURRY #CONTENT

February 2026: Mitran Da Dhaba, Harris Park. 4.72/5.

The car was parked about 300 metres from the restaurant, but you could smell the curry like we were in the kitchen. We’d heard about it, we’d talked about it… and finally, we experienced it for ourselves. Little India welcomed the Monday Night Curry Club in with a warm smile and hot curries. So many restaurants to try, and different curry to taste every where you look. On this meet, we dined at Mitran Da Dhaba, at the end of the main strip. A big turn out from a dozen hungry boys eager to dig in. We shook with excitement as we glanced at a sheet of paper titled Today’s Menu, with the date. Does this change each day? What does tomorrow’s menu look like? What did everyone eat yesterday? The curiosities were put to rest when it was decided tonight, we dine differently. We noticed on almost every table, locals were tucking into a Tahli. We followed suit, 6 between 12. A variety of flavours all on one plate, with a couple extra curries to dip our toes. Washed down by a mango lassi and mopped up by a buttery naan. What a meal it was. Some said it was one of the best, others said it was their favourite restaurant the club has ever visited. The truth was in the numbers. The cost was low, and the score was high, placing Mitran Da Dhaba firmly into the top five. Little India, we’ll be back. #ICWT

HEY MNCC, WHERE YOU BEEN!?

Forget about it. We’re back. Here is what you’ve missed.

November 2025: Samir’s Indian Kitchen, Surry Hills. The group was big, and the table was small. Our attention was drawn to two things… the pre-cooked curries, crusted and bubbling away in a Bain Marie, and the plastic covered artwork hanging on the wall. It looked like they were here for a good time, not a long time. That’s what we felt being there too. Curries were dished out quick, the fish curry was creamy with a kick, the chicken tikka masala… ticked the box, but it was the surprise Lamb Saag that really saved the day. Final bill, cheap. Rating: 3.72/5 #ICWT
