A very important person in my life @benchavezz has told me many times: “When You Give Your Life Away You Find What Real Life Is”. Because of Capernaum I found real life. I found Jesus and it changed everything. Every Tuesday night I have the privilege of leading these friends to Jesus, and every Tuesday night I have the privilege of hearing them talk about Jesus in a way I will never be able to understand. Because our friends know Jesus like no one else I do does. Our friends make a relationship with Jesus personal. They make it their own. They teach me more about Jesus than anyone else in my life, and I truly have no words to describe my love for Capernaum and these sweet friends. These friends taught me what pure joy looked like. They taught me how to love others in a way that doesn’t involve verbal communication. They taught me that Jesus can mean something different to everyone. They taught me that even in the midst of chaos the Lord is still good. He’s still faithful. He’s still kind. He’s still the God of the universe who creates everyone as his masterpiece created for good works. When i started with Capernaum my freshman year I would’ve never imagined I’d be where I am today. Finding real life in Jesus, and having only one desire in life: For others to know him too. #askmeaboutCapernaum
