We threw a midsummer dinner party last August for "A Seat at the Table" series. It featured a "sunflower table", a "tomato table" and a "peaches table" in the spirit of harvest. Delightful collaboration and dining experience. When we designed with M&J for their August wedding, we referenced the midsummer dinner party, secured the same florist and worked with the same linen & charger company to achieve their own unique look. Mae, who captured these images will also be capturing today for M&J. Three table designs in the room, excellent food experiences and the best comeraderie are in the works. Already reveling 🌻. The palette sets the tone. When the setting is this good, the design doesn’t need to compete. It needs to belong. Soft ivories, warm wood tones, muted florals, and one earthy accent woven throughout. Enough contrast to feel intentional, never overwhelming. The most compelling palettes aren’t built on excess. They are built on balance, restraint, and knowing exactly when to add something unexpected. Color should guide the atmosphere quietly. An incredible evening soirée hosted by the one and only Jeannene, @intentionallytabled and her team of brilliant creatives. The evening began with a phone turn in, to keep the attendees present. This was so refreshing and encouraged everyone to live in the moment & document the night on analog. Then was mingling, getting to meet other various creatives in the wedding industry. Followed by a roundtable discussion to discover what this next season will bring each of us. We mailed our future selves letters. Then we feasted. Then we danced. The incredible Will, @willbrinkerhoff // @dinnerswithwill curated the most amazing 4 course meal for the attendees. With vegetables hand picked from the garden, and sauces made to perfection. A meal I won’t soon forget. Accompanied by the prettiest mocktails you’ve ever seen by @byrdiebar. The tablescapes with unique plate settings by @detroitverde and adorned with the most whimsical florals by @mori.designstudio, when you stepped in the room you were overcome by the floral smells. I highly recommend roping in your friends to step out of your comfort zone and join the next Intentionally Tabled event, thanks to @kvterob & @susannalinphoto for being the best company. we’re on each others team 🌿 for those of you who don’t know, my background is in photo booths, healthcare, a summer camp, and an ice cream shop 🍦 alllll of these backgrounds come with solid teams I’ve never been someone who wanted to work alone, I love deep conversations and shared life experiences When I started Sprouts about one month in, my two team members (who were a couple of the closest people in my life), decided that this wasn’t for them and working with me wasn’t ideal It felt personal and I didn’t know if I was made to have a team, but we had weddings on the calendar and I had no choice but to figure it out, quickly. So I hired one of our brides that I saw started her own content business- @contentbylaur And Lauren gave me hope that maybe I wasn’t the worst boss, but just someone who really wanted to offer content to people and train future content creators the craft so that it could be seen as a respectful, amazing addition to vendor teams And eventually, in 2025 after about one year in business- my team had 4 other women added to it, and by the end of 2025 we had a solid 12 that I decided I wanted to continue working with. Who are these people? Ones that fill my cup. People who I would trust alone in my house. People I’d want at my wedding day. People who can show up and do an incredible job because they care deeply about the intention behind our craft. People who take feedback and implement. In the photos above you’re seeing a new Lauren on my team @laurenayla_films and @capturedwithchristina These girls bring me joy each time we speak. Im blessed to know and grow with them. I’ve said it so much and from the bottom of my heart I don’t exactly know how we got here but I know we are meant to be here. I love you girls, and to the rest of my team, I love you girls too. And if you’re not on my team but you’re doing content- I want to meet you. Rooted & Blooming // I’m genuinely at a loss for words for how incredible last night was - it was everything we needed and more. 47 wedding creatives gathered around these (intentionally) table(d) and poured their hearts out to each other and created a safe space for everyone to show up authentically as themselves and genuinely get excited for the season ahead. The only rule of the evening was no cell phones once it started so we will just have to be patient until all the film comes back but I’ll truly never forget the energy and joy around these tables.
