Marriage Trailer!

When the bride-to-be fails to appear at her own celebration, tensions quickly surface among the group, especially between two ex-partners who have not properly resolved their past. As they wait, the friends argue, joke and circle around bigger questions about love, commitment and whether marriage still holds meaning for queer people today. Blending humour with emotional confrontation, the play captures the divide between romantics and sceptics, while lightly touching on broader questions about the history and purpose of marriage as an institution.

@emmerdale 21st November 2025: Anya dies of an infection.

Anya (Alia Al-Shabibi) was found in the back of a haulage truck belonging to Caleb Milligan (William Ash). Caleb believed she had gotten into the country through his truck when she had actually just been hiding there to escape. When Caleb’s wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) discovered Anya, she felt protective of her and wanted to get to the bottom of what she was running from. Caleb, on the other hand, was desperate to get her to leave, paying her to do so. While the pair fought over Anya staying, she took the money one night and ran.

A little while later, evil drug lords Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and her son Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), who have groomed teenagers April Windsor and Dylan Penders (Amelia Flanagan and Fred Kettle) into drug dealing and prostitution, open their car boot to reveal Anya gagged and bound inside with a wound in her leg. It was revealed that Anya had actually been fleeing Ray and Celia, who had stolen her passport, forcing her to work as an unpaid slave on Celia’s farm.

Anya had befriended Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) on the farm, who took care of her when she was forced back. Anya became gravely ill from her infected wound, and despite both she and Bear begging Ray to bring her to hospital, Ray refused because she was undocumented, and more importantly to him, bringing her to hospital would raise questions and expose the modern day slavery. Ray went to get antibiotics for Anya, but she died before he got back.

Ray ensured Bear that Anya would get a proper funeral, but Bear was horrified to find she’d just been put in a cupboard. Ray insisted that this was just because she was undocumented. Celia made Ray and Bear bury Anya on the farm of an unknowing Moria Dingle (Natalie Robb), as Moira already had a plot there for her daughter Holly Barton (Sophie Powles). To incriminate Moira in case the body was ever dug up, Celia wrapped Anya in one of Moira’s blankets.

As the clock struck 00:00 yesterday, I was reminiscing about how the last year went by, from 24 ➡️ 25, and there are a few photos, that still take me back.
Countless moments, countless memories, some where we completed milestones, made actual achievements, had crazy fun, and to complete the arc, how can I forget the people who got me through an entire year! From days (and nights) filled with constant bakchodi, to days of trips and 2am tube rides to Tower Bridge.
From making films, to sending infinite cold emails and applications through the night. It’s been a wild ride. On to the next one!
