WOW!! ACDA!!!

I feel like every time I go to this conference there's no way it can be as transformative as the last, but holy shit was I wrong. Thank you @umn_dance & @acda_dance for hosting such a beautiful conference, grateful to have attended.
This conference hit a little different because it was in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I feel like I'm still trying to process everything that happened. During this trip I had the opportunity to speak with so many different people, and it made me realize how lucky I am.
My biggest takeaway and something that I want to hold with me for the rest of my life, is that it is a PRIVILEGE to move our bodies. To gather in a safe space and dance together, to be in conversation with other artists, and to be able to witness other people's work, to be in community with one another and make space for all. It was an honor to be in a community where you could feel the resilience radiating off of the people there. That moving and finding such joy and freedom within it, IS RESISTANCE. Don't take what you have for granted because one day you might lose it. It still makes me so emotional reflecting on it.
Also, had the privilege to teach my biggest class to DATE!! Just about 50 people in that space!!!!! CRAZY!!! @baddie__academie FOREVA!!!! 🥵❤️‍🔥Everybody Nasty!!
This video is the combo from that class! Thankful for the space made for what I do🫶🏼 And so grateful for all the people that came to my classes, that I met during the conference, that I got to move with, feeling so inspired by ALL OF YOU!!!
Thank you to my Iowa City baddies in this video for dancing with me and taking class, even though it was right after we performed!! We ATE DOWNNNN!
Again, I will always have more to say and to post about but that's all for now. ❤️‍🔥🥵🖤
