Swept by the Sea 🌊

She is embodied. In her own mind, yet out of her own body, embodied all the same. The salt air crashing on the rock formations around her. In a foreign land, she is one with the atmosphere that surrounds her, yet surrendering to it. That’s what she believes the highest ascent of being a creative model truly means - not fabricating moments, but to embrace everything around her, fully. And everything, she is. To feel the land, the sea, the scent in the air. To appreciate its fleeting moment in this time, for it was there before, and will be there after she is gone. Those small moments of appreciation. To take it in through her senses, and to feel its every movement as a result. The results are so much more than just still frames. The moments captured are a reflection of everything pure she understands. It’s her at her most vulnerable and powerful all at once. And yet, she will leave this place, and it will be as it always was.

The moment she’s been searching for so many years, is now here.

The people who have come, the people who have gone. I have met so many faces in my time here. Those who encouraged me. Those who beat me. Those who lifted me back up. Those who never knew my name. Those who recognized me from another lifetime. My heroes, some who became my best friends. Rose colored glasses. Love, felt in many forms. Love, lost forever. A lifetime of fear, hope, doubts, inspiration. Then, there was you. When I look into your eyes, I see poetry. The freedom I have been so longing for. I was trapped. Cold. Desperate for a way to crawl out. I found myself, through all of those faces, searching, and I found you. Life makes sense now. It was all about this moment. A moment wrapped in time. A beautiful mess, I am. A beautiful mess, I was. A gift, still. As messy as it all has been, it has been a dream. A beautiful, dream.

To make sense of it all, impossible. To believe in higher purpose, absolutely. I wish I could tell her, it would be alright. But apart of her always felt it would be alright. And so she stayed. And she believed.

Mermaids? …not quite. But for a moment, it felt like we were 🌊🧜‍♀️

Last week her page was pulled beneath the surface - swallowed by the Instagram sea without warning. But some souls don’t disappear… they resurface. Softer. Stronger. A little more luminous than before.

Watching Lumen move with the tide felt like witnessing a return, as if the ocean itself gave her back to us.
