Two Face 10K Recap – Happy Medal Monday! 🏅

What a day, to say the least.

I’m so happy to say my ankle is back in business, and we’re running almost 100% pain-free again.

Coming into this race, I really didn’t know what to expect. I was fresh off an ankle injury and coming off a disappointing race the weekend before.

Even though I wasn’t as prepared as I wanted to be, I’m always ready to compete.

This race marked the final event of the Max Vert Challenge, and Devin and I were both battling for a spot on the overall podium.

The course started with a 10K road section before transitioning into a 7+ mile trail segment. We went out much faster than expected, covering the road 10K in 45:40. It was well ahead of my plan, and I knew the trail would turn into a battle.

As soon as we hit the first climb of the trail section, I made a decision: I was going to run as hard as I could for as long as I could. If I blew up, so be it. It was a risk I was willing to take.

I felt smooth through the first few trail miles, but as we reached the final major climb, the cramps started to hit. At that moment, I knew my chances at a podium might be slipping away—and honestly, I was okay with that. After being passed, I settled back in, kept pushing, and finished the trail section in 1:07:01.

I’m incredibly proud of both the effort and the result. Going into the race, I thought a 1:55 overall time would be a fantastic day. Instead, I crossed the line in 1:52:40 (14th Overall!), exceeding every expectation I had.

I also couldn’t have asked for a better person to lose a podium spot to than Devin He earned it, and I couldn’t be happier for him. We’ve continued to push each other to new levels, and I can’t wait to keep striving for more as we get ready for Javelina.

And a quick shoutout to @pulsesupps for always keeping me fueled! Can’t wait to keep growing together 💪

“Value the effort, not the outcome.”

Happy Valentines Day! Started the day off competing in the DEKA STRONG challenge with my lover @alida_rose_ right by my side as my judge. I ended up finishing 3rd overall & 1st in my age group with a time of 16:42.

I was humbled today and fell short of my goal time, but I’m honestly just happy to be back competing. It has been very difficult trying to train for an event when you are unable to perform the exercises 😅 so i will call today a win. The ankle held up well so hoping to this is where we turn the page on this injury. I still haven run in a month but I’m very encouraged after today for HYROX doubles next weekend in Vegas 💪 Keep Striving!
