Meet Alexandra Del Re, the Dean’s Excellence Awardee in the Master of Dietetics & Nutrition program! Alexandra has an academic journey strongly shaped by service through athletics, nutrition, and community engagement. She serves as a sports nutrition intern with FIU Athletics, where she supports fueling stations, manages inventory, contributes to social media, and helps develop educational materials for student athletes. She played a key role in creating pre- and post-training fueling guides and a nutrition handbook for track and field athletes, drawing from her unique perspective as student and athlete.

Alexandra is actively involved in the Association of Graduate Students in Dietetics and Nutrition, volunteering at events such as Foodie Facts and Diabetes Awareness Day and promoting nutrition education within the community. She is also a member of the South Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Sports and Performance Dietitians Association. Lastly, she was a summer intern with the National Alliance for Eating Disorders, where she supported initiatives focused on awareness and prevention. She also volunteered as a culinary aid at the South Beach Food & Wine Festival, assisting chefs with food preparation and guest services. Congratulations Alexandra! #FIU #FIUGrad #StempelCollege #Dietetics #Nutrition

Your body can’t run on vibes. FUEL UP🔥🔥🔥

Even something small, like a quick carb snack, can make a huge difference if you’re not used to a full meal!

A day in the life of one of our own 💙🐾

She’s not just part of FIU Women’s Cross Country/Track, she’s part of our sports nutrition family.

From early practices, to fueling with intention, to making sure the snack station stays stocked for others…she shows up like the athlete she is⭐️

Love seeing our athletes practice what we preach. Fuel yourself right! 🔥💪
