I'm definitely going to enjoy this holiday, but I can at least start it off right.

I'm going to enjoy the holiday but no reason for one day off to turn into 4. So, I'm taking some meals with me.

Not gonna lie… seeing the scale creep back up used to mess with me mentally.

Especially after going from around 170 down to 135.

But my coach has me in a different phase right now. She increased my calories because the goal isn’t just getting smaller anymore. It’s building muscle and actually supporting my body.

And honestly?
I feel better.

I’m stronger in the gym.
Sleeping better.
Recovering better.
And somehow my size 26 jeans still fit even though the scale is a little higher.

That’s when it finally clicked for me… muscle really does change your body differently.

I swear women our age grew up thinking eating less was always the answer. Meanwhile half of us were surviving on Diet Coke, stress, and one Lean Cuisine.

Now I’m realizing my body wants protein, muscle, recovery, sleep, and consistency way more than punishment.

Late 40s is humbling… but also kinda freeing once you stop obsessing over every pound.
