My first race in the Triathlon sport is now accomplished✅

I competed in the Dualthon division (run a 5k, bike 12.4 miles, and run a 2nd 5k) and got 3rd place 🥉

This is just the beginning, I plan on doing a lot more races in this sport! I am so thankful to be in this season of life where I’ve decided to take the time to make myself the absolute best version of myself!

I LOVE MY BIKE! 🚴🏼‍♀️💕❤️‍🔥

I decided to make my first race very special, by doing a customized Jersey for the many people and businesses that have helped me along the way! GOTTA REPRESENT MY PEOPLE! 💯🤘

THE MOST BAD ASS COACHES I’VE EVER HAD! You’ve created a space so special! I honestly never thought that I would be at this level of athleticism at this age, and being able to push myself mentally and physically to new limits. You are both doing exciting things for all of us members and I can’t wait to keep being a part of what you’ve built!

@alignptlv ADAM! Thank you and your team for getting to know me, my training, and working along side my coaches to help me recover, improve my running, and making me a stronger athlete! YOU DA MAN!

@organicironman KYLE! Thanks for answering my random questions and always being a good source and mentor to guide me on this journey. TRUST ME, I’ll be asking you for advice a lot more 😂

And most importantly @popsnapco
Nikki🎈💕 MY GIRL! Meeting you this year has been absolute blessing! All the early mornings of waking up at 3:30-4am to train together, knowing you were going to be there and show up for me always whether in our training and our friendship has pushed me to new limits this year! I am so grateful to have you in my life and can’t wait to see what you do next!

Nikki also completed her first Triathlon today too 💕

Last “rehab” post i’m going to write. These are atleast a week late, and about 120 days post my full pec tear and reattach ment - back over 600lbs on a straight bar squat, and over 400lbs on a raw bench in less than 4 months. I say it often, but GOD is so good. I GET to do this. I GET to put in this work. I am so fortunate to have this amazing team @backalleybarbell in my corner and Adam from @alignptlv - I didn’t think this was even possible - from day 1 he not only believed, but pushed me to do exactly that. I am grateful beyond words 🙏🏽

New benchmark unlocked: 🏃‍♀️💨

Never did I ever think I would be so happy to have the freedom to run again (with limitations of course.)

But.. ya don’t know what you have until it’s gone. I remember the first realization about a month post op, that even if I had to, I couldn’t safely take off on a run. That freaked me out as a capable and independent human.

And while I by no means identify as “a runner,” as an athlete- i don’t like having any physical limitations so after initially being unable to even walk normally, I’ve had the ITCH to take off on a run. 🤪

Now I won’t be getting ahead of myself just yet, but having the freedom and capability to work some running intervals back in my training is LIBERATING.

Without being able to train jiujitsu, I’ll take anything physical I can get!!

If you’re recovering from an ACLR too, keep every benchmark in sight- do your PT, rest, ice, lift the weights, rest some more, stretch, eat right, keep your mindset in check- the process goes quicker than you think. One minute you’re wondering if you’ll ever walk normally again, the next you’re getting cleared to run. Keep. Going.
