Gratitude for November 19, 2021 ✨Today I am grateful for the gift of sound. I am fortunate to hear the voice of someone I love and to listen to the beautiful music that others have created. I couldn’t imagine my life without music, especially since I love it so much. This time of year I enjoy listening to Christmas music. One of my favorite things to listen to is Handel’s Messiah in November and December. It just brings back so many wonderful memories of performing it at Hood College and at the USNA in Annapolis that warm my heart. 💗

The day has arrived…. SEASON 3 of the Yas and Amen Podcast is HERE 🎉🎉🎉 1 year ago tomorrow, on the first Wednesday of August ) (like today) - I launched this podcast. My vision for it was to create a space for conversations around things that would elevate our faith and not just get us hyped for a moment. To include Selah meditations for all different kinds of experiences, people, and seasons - especially because I find I heard many Christians tell me they struggle to be still with the Lord and His word. And finally, to include testimonies in each episode because in our hardest moments - when we hear what God has done for someone else, our hope levels seem to rise up and we all surely need more and more hope each day. I’m particularly excited for this fall season of the podcast because we are getting into some conversations and meditations that I believe are really going to not just encourage you but edify you 🙌🏾 And in honor of the Yas and Amen Podcast 1 year anniversary - today’s episode is all about saying Yasssss to the Lord and walking in the obedience to ‘amen’ (agree) with Him and His will. Yea...but I WANNA KNOW THO! 😩😆 It’s not easy to wait or be in a transition season of life but I encourage you to take a minute to look BACK instead of FORWARD. Can you recall times when you were worried about change or in the middle of a hard transitioning season? Can you remember the testimonies, growth, and lessons that came out of that? 👉🏽 REMEMBERING the past is a helpful tool to prepare for the unknown future. The context of this acts scripture helps even more because it shows us that folks are asking Jesus if He’s restoring the kingdom to Israel at that time and Jesus responds with these words in Acts 1:7. If there’s something we can’t deny about God is that HE IS INTENTIONAL and we can trust both His timing and plans. Last week I wrapped up Season 2 of Yas + Amen Podcast with a Selah meditation episode on two scriptures that will encourage you in seasons of transition, change, or waiting.
