Last weekend. Sculptural arrangements rising above tables, with flowers and fabric cascading to the floor. A room full of friends and family bought together by love and live music. Olivia + Milan at The Permanent.

A few things we loved about this day:

Those tables. Champagne-coloured fabric gathered into generous folds, flowers rising from the centre, and candles everywhere. More art installation than traditional wedding reception.

The Permanent. A century-old bank turned event space, with soaring columns, ornate architecture and that incredible stained-glass dome overhead.

The live music. A celebration of family, culture and connection, with the kind of music that brings generations together on the dance floor.

The people. Family gathered around long tables, the room erupting in applause during the ceremony, and everyone finding their way onto the dance floor. So much of this day was about being together.

We’ll take the complicated option every time.

This wedding had a layout that definitely made us think. Layered decor and a floor plan that looked a little wild on paper, paired with a seriously challenging flip while guests were on site, but it all came together beautifully.

The result felt totally unique, interesting, and completely suited to our clients. And honestly, it turned out even better than we had planned 🤍

What a banger of a wedding!

Valentina and Nicholas didn’t just throw a party. They built an experience for every single person in that room.

@earnesticecream on deck. A drink cam and kiss cam that had the whole crowd losing it. Guests who never once looked at their phones for the wrong reason.

And these two? They looked so, so good. Relaxed, happy, fully in it all night.

The attention to detail was next level from both of you. The small touches you’d only catch up close, and the big moments that made the room feel like yours.

Nothing was an afterthought.

We couldn’t wait to show you, so we didn’t. Here’s your same day teaser.

For me, it is always the people. The connections I build with my couples are, without question, my favourite part of what I do.

Yvonne + Dalan were the third couple in their friend group whose wedding I’ve had the honour of being a part of. There is something so special about showing up on a wedding day and already knowing so many of the people there. It feels a little bit like coming home.

Being trusted with a wedding day is something I’ll never take for granted. Being trusted enough to be passed along to the people you love means even more.

So grateful for these two, for all the people this work has brought into my life, and that I get to call this my job. 🤍
