POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Way way WAY back, when I lived in Chicago (and had So. Much. Hair.) I wrote an adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time for @lifelinetheatre , where I was an ensemble member. Unbelievably, Madeleine L'Engle was in town, and even more unbelievably, it was arranged that I meet her at Loyola University. I don't remember too much of the meeting; only that I was pretty awestruck and she was incredibly gracious. She even came to see the production at our tiny theater! I'm headed to Chicago now to see another excellent cast in the final weekend of Lifelines revival of my adaptation. It's more timely than ever. Thank you, Madeleine in the Stars, for such a precious gift of a story. #awrinkleintime #chicagotheatre

Today is publication day for SERVICE. Grateful beyond words to the amazing team who have made it all happen: my agent Veronique Baxter @davidhighambooks, my editor @zoe.yang.books, everyone @manilla_press not least @clarekelly.pr, and grateful also to the team who make ME happen i.e. my family, friends & @stewartwpringle.

Particular thanks to everyone who braved this brutal heatwave to come and launch Service into the world at @dauntbooks on Tuesday night. My god it was an amazing evening, as pictured, especially getting to the pub afterwards (last photo). I loved every second. Thank you to everyone who came, got me to sign your books (/tits), let me steal your photos for this post because I took almost none....

Grateful beyond words to everyone who's read it. Being a debut novelist is a WILD experience, exposing and humbling and VERY over exciting, and knowing that people are reading is the pinnacle of that wildness and, of course, and the point.

I'm afraid I won't stop banging on about this book just yet (events to come! Link in bio!) but I WILL at least try and bloody get on with some work.

SERVICE! IS! OUT!!!!!!!

What if acting was allowed to be easy?
What if acting was allowed to be fun?
What if there was to make art that could make YOU smile like this?

Happy Saturday from your friends at MAP ❤️

The @royalcourttheatre is 70 today. To celebrate, here are some photos of what life looked like when our show MORE LIFE ran upstairs this time last year, with production shots by @helenmurraypix and beautiful poster design by @guyjsandersart. What a privilege and a joy it was. And the last photo is the poster for the run in Korea starting at the end of the month. More life indeed!

She used to wake up with fear… now she’s booking major work. ✨

She didn’t just change her mornings.
She changed her identity. 🔥

London-based actress Alison Halstead used to wake up questioning whether there was space for her in this industry.

Fear was loud.
Self-doubt was familiar.
And even with talent and training, something felt stuck.

Then she made a powerful decision: she committed fully to the work.

She went through my entire Success Breakthrough Workshop and learned how to:
✅ shift her inner world
✅ rewire limiting beliefs
✅ anchor into a new way of being (rooted in worth, wholeness, and self-trust) 🌱
✅ and follow the Success Breakthrough Blueprint step by step

From that place, everything changed.

🎬 A supporting role in a major feature film franchise
🌍 International work in Budapest + Jordan
📺 A TV booking the same day she booked the film
🎭 Sharing the stage with Sir Ian McKellan
✨ Momentum that continues to expand year after year

Not because she hustled harder.
But because she stopped letting fear lead, and started living from who she knew herself to be. 💫

If you’ve been in a dry spell…
If doubt has been loud…
If you’ve wondered whether there’s room for you…

Let this be your proof. 💛
There is space for you here. @alisonhalsteadofficial is living proof. 🎬❤️🎉

Comment “proof” and I’ll DM you the full story + the exact tools she used.👇✨

Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ has been brought to life @the_globe!

@robinbelfield brings alive the comedy and does a tremendous job at bringing out the beauty of Shakespeare’s text. Jean Chann’s design reinforced the energetic nature of the show: not a single costume lacks colour. I also enjoyed the live music; it brings to mind how it was done in Shakespeare’s day.

The cast are wonderful. Max Keeble’s Antonio held the audience’s attention with his commanding tone of voice. @alisonhalsteadofficial’s Maria was also very well portrayed, especially through her relationship with Lady Belch. @josvantyler’s singing as Feste was a treat; his vocal qualities had the audience captivated.

@ckso’s Sebastian was interesting: he was portrayed as being bisexual, with him kissing Antonio and his eventual wife Olivia. Whilst I was initially surprised, I think it works and am very glad to see more forms of sexuality on stage. Odoom did a splendid job at being the shocked twin who is dragged into it all because of his twin sister; his facial expressions were on point. @laura_a_hanna’s Olivia was flirtatious towards Viola/“Cesario” and Sebastian; she did not hide the love away, which made it even funnier.

The dynamic between Ronke Adekoluejo’s Viola and Solomon Israel’s Orsino was a joy to watch. Adekoluejo did not hide her feelings for Orsino, and her facial expressions throughout had the audience laughing. Israel does a wonderful job at portraying the heartbroken Duke who yearns for Olivia's love.

However, it is the sub-plot containing Andrew Aguecheek, Malvolio and Lady Belch that made this show memorable. Pearce Quigley as Malvolio was hilarious; from being a pantomime villain in one scene to when he finds the forged love letter, he is a joy to watch. @ijdrysers as Andrew Aguecheek and @littlemissjocelynofficial were priceless; when they were onstage together, you knew there was going to be laughter. Some of the repeated gags were comedy gold!

I loved seeing this show at this iconic venue - I especially won't forget how well the actors interacted with the audience. It made the show even funnier and more memorable - 'Twelfth Night' was a joy to watch!
