After the rain comes the sunshine, and there's nothing quite like a beautiful Coolum sunrise to remind us that every day is a fresh start!

After all the rain we've had lately, it's so lovely to see the skies clearing and the sun shining again ☀️

Have you met some of Coolum's loudest locals yet? 🦜

While many people mistake them for Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos, these birds are actually Corellas. A medium-sized member of the cockatoo family.

Recognisable by the soft blue skin around their eyes and their short white crest, Corellas are one of Australia's most social birds. They're incredibly intelligent, mate for life, and often gather in noisy flocks of hundreds as they fly across the Sunshine Coast skies.

If you hear a chorus of screeches echoing through the trees or spot a flock feeding along the beach, chances are you've found them.

Next time you're exploring Coolum, keep an eye out for these cheeky characters.

Winter on the Sunshine Coast is a surfers paradise!

Think crisp, clear mornings, glassy waves, and uncrowded line-ups.

The water’s still warm enough to not need a thick wetsuit and the offshore winds serve up some of the cleanest conditions of the year.

Typically the water stays between 20 - 22C during the winter months.

Now that is an ocean paradise just waiting to be explored no matter if you're on a board or sticking to the sand.
