As part of our 15th birthday year, artists Alice Channer and Alison Wilding will be in conversation with writer and broadcaster Louisa Buck on Saturday 3rd October 💭

Our two recently opened exhibitions, A Living Collection and Rhythm, Dance and Everything, showcase large-scale, newly acquired sculptures that have been donated by the artists to Wakefield’s art collection.

In 2013, Alice Channer was commissioned by The Hepworth Wakefield to make a new body of work for her solo exhibition, Invertebrates, which included Homo Sapiens (Large) now on display in Rhythm, Dance and Everything.

Alison Wilding’s monumental sculpture Stormy Weather (1987) was gifted by the artist in 2025 and is on display in A Living Collection for the first time since its acquisition.

Learn more at the talk on Saturday 3rd October at 3pm. Tickets are £20 / £18 with a discounted price of £10 for Members.
