Last night we celebrated the hearts behind the mission. 💜 Every volunteer, board member, mentor, donor, and supporter plays a part in helping teen parents move from pregnancy to graduation. Thank you for believing in our families and making this work possible. We appreciate you more than words can express.

23 en mi isla🇵🇷

This year I wanted to celebrate my birthday a little differently. I wanted to go back home and reconnect with my culture. I wanted this trip to be about learning, experiencing, and creating beautiful memories.
Taking a salsa class with the amazing @salsaboriken. Truly a great way to start and highly recommend her class. Learning about the history of salsa and attempting to put my basic skills to the test afterwards at salsa night, while Gabby truly made me feel comfortable.
Of course getting to see Rauw Alejandro never disappoints. So upset I met @lilwifeypr there without even realizing it till afterwards. No picture, no video. I crashed out about it after I realized who she was. I always said if I go to Puerto Rico I wanted to find her so she could do my bandanna. Well she didn’t do my bandanna, but she did my makeup and we had great conversation. What a passionate person who truly loves her craft! And to find out we’re both from San Lorenzo was amazing. When I go back I want a do-ever!
Between forcing myself to speak Spanish, listening to the coquí at night, relaxing at the beach, eating good food, and learning about Puerto Rico through art, the other amazing thing that stood out was the new friends I made. They truly made my birthday trip unforgettable! The memories I made with them will always stick with me and I can’t express my appreciation to each of them enough❤️

Hasta la próxima🌹
