POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I came out with the blossoms
of Spring. Unfurling,
young and naive, before
Summer's scorched earth took everything from me.
And the embers still blister my hands and my feet
yet I build foundations in the ashes,
their warmth familiar.

I remember now how to
feel, and what it means to be
alive. What it means
to rest, and how it feels
to cry.

And though there is darkness
I no longer float adrift.
No longer free falling, I sit
with what is. For I'm grounded
on Thursdays, holding change in my hands,
my soft belly breaks
and I whisper: my thanks
to the queers gone before,
and the paths they have lit.
To the present day queers,
and the strength that they give
so that I may walk on,
teeth clamped,
around a trembling lip.
To the queers not yet here,
I do owe it.

So much love and appreciatation for the incredible people currently holding me, guiding me, and sharing this journey with me. I cannot believe how lucky I am. Also so much love and appreciation for the existence of Tiramisu, the practice of yoga, an ancient oak in Epping Forest that I commune with, and this little wooden duck that I have on loan.

You won’t have to open a heart that’s broken, water’s gonna flow in either way 🫀 my heart is growing either way 💦 Farewell August, you genuinely healed me 🧜🏽 business on here will resume as usual very soon but turns out I really needed that break. Thanks for being patient with me 🌞🌚 #freakforthecreek #augustdump #lostweekend #phoebebridgers

even the tree’s have been brutalized by this summer’s passions, reckoning with the jagged responsibility of existence, dehydrated and tumbling to the ground (i’ve been projecting grief onto alligators and questioning themes of self-abandonment)

summer of being in love with all of my friends / summer of clawing back into my body over and over / can routine become ritual / summer of feeling resistance within me and meeting it with gentle curiosity / summer of waves of grief in every moment of unrelenting sun / there must still be life deep in our roots / summer of where do we go from here / summer of it’s not what i thought it would be / but what if it could be more / summer of surrender / summer of surrender / summer of surrender

life’s-a-beach! unpredictably twisting and turning like an unattended garden hose left on full in the midday July sun! unfurling in unexpected and peculiar ways, cooking in the tropical heat

moments in time, i let the sand fall away in between my fingers. don’t hold on too tight, the ocean whispers. the salt will clean the wound. the water will smooth your edges. the flowers will guide your path.

When your gorgeous friend @mokosko ‘s passport expires + unexpectedly can’t join for Sitges pride, you + your friends make a life size cardboard version of them so they can still join in + have the pride experience they deserved (+ to comfort our group’s big Mikey size hole in our hearts🫀!!)

oh! to lose yourself in the pursuit of love! humbling is the privilege of intimacy! a sorrowful sort of honor; tasting it on your lips, then changing with the seasons. it’s a revolving door! unclenching your fists, attempt after attempt, learning to open your hands wider each time. scraping the bottom for as much insight as you can muster, then letting go! I’d be able to find meaning in a puddle of piss! slowly reigniting this lust for life, a beauty in the mundane. cataloging obscurities, challenging my beliefs! cycling the edge of canals for cheap thrills, crying at birds! being a soft lover-boy is grueling work; so many causalities, so much fear. a healing continuum!

february unravelled, unfolding the stitching through the fabric of time pulling loose my memory and shifting me forever onwards. my mind eager to live in imagined places, i gently continue to pull back into myself. how instead to mirror this season? i will grow slowly, my bones still ache from winter chill i need not run before i am warm. i am finding in stillness lies uncomfortable truths so i practice sipping softly. i hold what is sacred to my heart, i let it keep me feeling
