A year ago today I had a life saving surgery which was a risk medically and financially. It was the best choice I ever made! Worth every penny. Chronic pain ruins lives, it has mine, but I’m trying to claw back. In this time I’ve been able to create an incredible dog business with the most amazing community of people and their dogs who have helped them along the way. Dug Pog is for dogs, and the people they save because I believe every dog owner has had that moment where their dog has made their day better. It doesn’t have to be something big like my case, it could be they make you smile when you get home after being stuck in traffic, and their waggle tail makes you wonder why you were ever frustrated in the first place. Dogs help us every day, in the smallest ways. That’s what Dug Pog is about. I’m grateful my surgery gave me this chance. Do you want to make sure your dog can stay as active as possible for as long as possible?

This is just one of the reasons why canine conditioning matters.

You can start them at any age, but the younger you start, the better you’ll set them up for more active senior years.

I mean we all already know and understand as humans that if we go to the gym and look after our body, we have a better chance of staying active for longer. And the same goes for our dogs.

And the younger you start, the easier it is, BUT it’s never too late to start.

So I’ve been reflecting on event season! And how it grew to become bigger than expected. Since launching in January Dug Pog have done @crufts @goodwoofdogs @allaboutdogsshow @patstradeshow and our very own event at @teddysdogs WHAT AN EVENT SEASON! So what I’m asking is where do you and your dogs want to see Dug Pog in 2027. 31st August 2026

Back on the 31st of August scooby made me incredibly proud when winning 1st place in a gun dog scurry. He done very well with the many different noises and distractions that come with being at a dog show. He won by 2 seconds quicker than the others!!

In reality it took us more than one try to get to a point of complete focus. He was scatty he was unfocused and he wasn’t understanding what I was asking him with all the excitement going on around him. I knew my dog was better than that and I knew he could do it. With the help of @meadowlark_field_dogs Scooby got to a point he could do an incredible retrieve with complete focus.Even though in the moment I was slightly disappointed with the first outcome, we tried again and we ended up winning.

I believe I learnt more from this experience from this than him . He learnt how to focus under pressure in new ways,how to control his excitement with new noises and other dogs surrounding him. I learnt to not go into things with a full expectation of how I’d like it to go. Still going in with a standard of behaviour and the basics but a complete understanding that he does do wrong he can make mistakes will be made.🐾

Throwback to the last AADS of the year, but certainly not our last event to attend! Weather depending we hope to be attending the Southwold Sausage Walk on Sunday. Then next week we’re attending the SausageFest Halloween party. Then we’ve got a couple of Christmas things in the pipeline too and we can’t wait!

This month marks one year since I got Flora❤️

I rescued Flora last year after the risk of being put to sleep following an incident that resulted in the loss of her hindlimb.

Fast forward a year and she’s been absolutely amazing, living life to the absolute fullest. No leg. No problem❤️

Looking back has made me emotional, but we’re so thankful for everything so far. We’ve attended @crufts having been invited by @dugpog walked in the rescue dog parade at @goodwoofdogs . Been ambassadors for @allaboutdogsshow we’ve become reps for @thepawprintboutique @poochie.pals @apexpetproducts @bemorebondog all such incredible brands who all saw what I see in Flora❤️

Here’s to many more years creating many more memories she may not of got❤️

I’ve been putting off writing this because I never imagined I would have to.

For now, BillowK9 is coming to an end.

I started this business in 2022 and have poured so much of myself into it. From developing our Velcro-free drying robes and testing products with Laika, to sewing orders, packing parcels, attending events and meeting so many of you and your dogs.

There have been some incredible moments along the way, and seeing dogs across the country wearing and enjoying products I designed will always make me proud.

Unfortunately, running a small business has become increasingly difficult. Costs have risen, sales have slowed and I’m moving to a new space where I simply cannot take all of my remaining stock. As hard as it is to admit, I can no longer continue BillowK9 in the way it deserves.

I’m not ready to say this is goodbye forever, but it is goodbye for now.

Everything must go, with up to 70% off across the website. This isn’t old or damaged stock. It’s the same drying robes, mitts and dog accessories I’ve spent years designing, developing and believing in. I would love to see the final pieces being used and enjoyed rather than sitting in storage.
