Thane, let’s come together this Monday! 🐾

I want to hear the opinions of all Thanekars, NGOs, animal welfare activists, and feeders regarding the proposed ABC centre and dog shelter near Majiwada Flyover.

What are your concerns? Do you think this location is suitable for the dogs? What about air pollution, noise pollution, extreme temperatures, disease control, hygiene, and overall animal welfare?

Let’s discuss this together and raise the right questions before the shelter becomes operational.

Thanekars, NGOs and feeders please share your opinions in the comments below. Your voice matters!

🚨 THANE TMC ABC CENTRE: WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

This is the current situation being reported at TMC’s ABC Centre, Thane.

Dogs are being admitted for sterilisation, but concerns have been raised that some are returning with distemper or other infections.

🐾 This is exactly why a proper isolation ward is essential. Infected dogs must be separated from healthy dogs, with appropriate veterinary care, hygiene and disease-control measures in place.

Reports of distemper and other infections raise serious questions about the facilities and protocols being followed at the centre.

Who is responsible for this situation? Who will be held accountable?

⚠️ We demand transparency, accountability and proper animal welfare facilities at TMC’s ABC Centre.

THANE, WE ARE COMING SOON.

This is the story of everyday dogs.

Every day, they face new problems, new complaints, and new challenges just for trying to survive.

And behind every complaint, there is a story we often don’t see.

We need to understand their reality, stand with them, and do everything we can to protect them…

From just 20 feeding spots to 200 feeding spots — this journey doesn’t end here. This is only the beginning! 🐾❤️

We thank Mira-Bhayandar MLA Narendra Mehta Ji for at least opening his eyes to this important issue and taking a step towards addressing it.

Feeding community animals is our right, and providing designated feeding spots is the duty of the municipal authorities, based on the requirement and population of community dogs.

We are ready to meet and discuss this matter to ensure that sufficient and properly planned feeding spots are allocated across Mira-Bhayandar.

A big thank you to all the Mira-Bhayandar feeders for taking this matter seriously and standing united. Special thanks to Haresh Sutar, Afreen Ma’am, and animal lover Vijaya Ma’am for standing up and raising their voices for the voiceless. 🙏🐶

From 20 to 200 is just the beginning. Our journey doesn’t end here! 🐾🔥

Yes. Under Rule 20 of the Animal Birth Control Rules, 2023, it is the responsibility of the Resident Welfare Association/Apartment Owners Association or the local authority to make arrangements for community animals and designate appropriate feeding areas.
We sincerely thank Opposition Leader (विरोधी पक्षनेता) Afreen Hussain Ma’am for raising this important issue and supporting our cause.

A few months ago, I received a call from someone seeking help with an issue in their society. The society was not allowing the feeding of community dogs inside the premises, and feeders were being mistreated and prevented from feeding.

It was a long battle that lasted for months. But we simply followed the proper process.

First, we wrote to the BMC. Then came the follow-ups… and more follow-ups. With a little push from my side, we finally met Dr. Agarkar Sir at Deonar. I’m truly thankful to him for taking up the matter on priority.

After that, Dr. Rahul Rathod, BMC Officer, visited the society and understood the situation.

Special thanks to everyone who stood strong for the voiceless, followed up with the officials, and helped make sure the matter reached its rightful conclusion.

Finally, our babies are feeding safely inside the society. 🐾❤️

I’ll tell you something — no one is above the law.

Feeding community animals cannot simply be stopped because a society doesn’t like it. The applicable rules and directions have to be followed, whether it is a high-rise, an old building, or any other housing society.

You need patience, the right process, proper documentation, and sometimes… a little push.

Keep fighting. Keep following the law. And most importantly, keep standing for the voiceless. 🐾✊🏻

A special thank you once again to Vijaya, Adv. Sakshi, and Arti for standing strong and supporting this cause till the very end. ❤️🐾

Meet Bunny 🐰
Your future lap companion and full-time cuddle expert.

Soft, calm, and happiest when she’s curled up right next to you, Bunny is less about mischief and more about quiet, comforting company. She’ll happily spend hours being your little shadow—whether you’re working, resting, or just in need of a warm presence by your side.

Her gentle eyes and easygoing nature make her the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention—she simply becomes a part of you.

Warning: side effects of Bunny include slower days, longer cuddles, and never wanting to get up once she’s settled in your lap 🤍

A couple of years ago I lost my fully vaccinated, over protected dog, not extremely senior doggo to Leptospirosis.

Mumbai’s monsoon puddles carry bacteria from rat and other animals’ urine. Your dog doesn’t need to drink the water. Walking through it is enough. And vaccinated dogs can still get it — there are 200+ strains, most vaccines cover four.

Fever. Sudden lethargy. Vomiting. Yellowing eyes or gums after a wet walk. Please don’t wait it out. Same day vet call.

Wipe their paws after every single outing. Avoid puddles where you can. Keep the Lepto booster current.

I wish someone had told me. I’m telling you now.

Don’t let what happened to my dog happen to yours. 🐾
