🌿 Meet the Artists! 🎨
We’re counting down to the Oregon Potters Association’s summer pop-up at Portland Nursery—and trust us, you’re going to want to make space on your shelves.

With over 40 talented potters in this year’s lineup, we’re breaking it down into bite-sized features—grouped by style, mood, or just plain good vibes. From earthy mugs and joyful glazes to sculptural showstoppers and garden-ready planters, there’s truly something for everyone.

*******************************

This crew brings bold ideas and distinct voices to the wheel (and slab roller). From mystical creatures to butterfly garden stakes to deeply layered glazes, these artists show just how much play and poetry ceramics can hold.

🌊 @allceramicsstudio (Aveline Layne)
Aveline’s work glows with moody depth—like midnight ocean waves caught in porcelain. Her carved details and layered glazes invite you to hold each piece a little longer, noticing all the quiet intricacies built in.

🦈 @deedee_and_shark (Lara King)
Lara’s work is imaginative and totally original. Sculptural shark fins? Spiky goblets? Large-scale painted vessels? Yes, yes, and yes. There’s a strong narrative thread here—equal parts fantasy, flora, and playful weirdness (in the best way).

🦋 @winkworxart (Pam Winklesky)
Pam’s work is rooted in nature and joy—from garden sculptures to tiny fortune cookie affirmations. Her pieces have that perfect “made you smile” quality while also being thoughtful, well-crafted, and delightfully giftable.

🌿 Meet all three artists at the OPA Summer Pop-Up at Portland Nursery, July 11–13. Whether you’re after art, function, or fun, you’ll find it here—handmade, heartfelt, and wildly creative.

It’s @trailblazers season! Last night was my first game 😁 and I was so excited to see @avellayne ⭐️🏀 we enjoyed our hot dogs, and I loved mingling and chatting with all the people in our section. But the best part of all was halftime, when the @wheelblazersbasketball played! I clapped so much 👏👏👏

The last few days I’ve been hard at work on a fancy chocolate cake! Megan, @avellayne and I made the whole thing. I wore my apron so you know I was serious! 🤣 we decided it was Winnie the Pooh’s birthday🧸 and so he blew out the candles after dinner. He let me share his piece 😋 it was delicious!

Please support your local small businesses, artists and makers this holiday season! We need your support more than ever now since the pandemic has largely affected small businesses and the maker community.

Today would have been our in-person Little Art Market, but as you may know we had to cancel it due to a spike in Covid cases. We invite you to support our vendors still by checking out their shops from our event page at truenorthstudios.org. We're also having a raffle with some awesome items donated by our members and other community creators! Raffle proceeds supports IRCO and True North Studios. Swipe to see what you can win!

Thank you for everyone who has purchased raffle entires, bought from our vendors' websites and donated to True North! Your continued supports means a lot!

Outdoor movie night! 🎥 🍿 I’ve been waiting for this day all week. Our awesome neighbor Kenny brought over his projector and screen. Kenny is my good friend, and I was so excited to help him set it all up 💪🏼 After a pizza dinner, we chose The Incredibles 2 as our movie and I grabbed an ice cream sandwich to enjoy while watching! I liked the movie and had a lot of fun 💗the only part I didn’t like was when a character said “shoot!” I let them know firmly to “stop cussing.” No foul language over this way! 🙅🏻‍♂️😂😂😂
