Congratulations, Paul! Dad and I are so proud of the intelligent, insightful, funny, generous, tolerant, inclusive, humble, talented, and ever so sarcastic young man you have grown to be. You have worked hard for this moment. You have had a strong village of family, friends, teachers, and mentors that have guided your way, provided support, and given your life meaning and joy. We are so thankful!!

We wish you success at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami these next four years and much happiness as you find your path and grow your community!

Go Edgewood Class of 2026!

Full circle moment. In 2017, Paul attended his first music camp at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. In 2026, he will be a freshman in their keyboard performance program.

So proud of all his hard work to get here. It has been a long journey and a really long year of applications, essays, more essays, many auditions at amazing programs across the country (accepted to almost all), waiting, more waiting, appealing, and deciding. The hardest part, by far, was making a choice. It was a very emotional experience for the whole family.

He is where he needs to be. We are very excited for all the many wonderful and growth-filled experiences that await him.

We are also very thankful to every professor he met along the way who had faith in his skills and potential and gave him encouragement and insight. It is an amazing community of generous, talented, and hard-working people that he is tremendously lucky to be a part of.

Thank you to everyone who came to my recital yesterday! 🙏 I’m truly happy to have shared this music with you.🎵

I was especially grateful to give the #Florida premiere of Ermir Bejo’s Op. 11, and to have my parents there to share the moment.
Special thanks to @steinwaymiami ‘Steinway Piano Gallery Miami’ for the beautiful instrument and support. 🎹✨

Congratulations to student Paul Wubbena who was awarded honorable mention in the Senior Concerto category at the FFMC State Jr. Convention in Tampa, among a pool of talented and wonderful pianists. And what a blast to get to play with him one of my favorites, Ravel G major concerto 🎶🎹
