Who you do it with matters. If you want to stay in this sport for a long time find the people and culture that make you want to show up and try hard on the toughest days for the love of the game, that make you feel safe to try and fail and try again, the environment that keeps you honest and helps you trust yourself and truly builds you up…. Those are the most important things for longevity and improvement imo.

I’ve prioritized different things over the years but I’m realizing more and more how important culture is especially when you’re trying to excel at hard things.

Really thankful for @corvusgrappling and @andrisbrunovskis for showing that you can have both a high level and healthy training environment.

I have trained with incredible coaches, gyms, and with top level teams. Each one has taught me something important and influenced my philosophy of jiujitsu in unique ways. And now Corvus has too. Over the last few months my relationship to myself and my jiujitsu has shifted in such a positive way. (Not to mention my jiujitsu is also improving a lot). I believe a huge part of that is the people and culture at Corvus. Culture so good they literally have me loving NoGi again. 😂🫶

Thank you to all my coaches and teammates here at this amazing environment @corvusgrappling 🏡. Switching gyms this year was really hard for me, but my friends here at Corvus made me feel welcome 🙏. I also love helping with the kids class here ♥️.

Thanks everybody!

Incredible day for the collective 🐦‍⬛🥇

The team took first place 🥇 in Gi Select, third place 🥉 in Gi Elite 8, and first place 🥇 overall in No Gi 🔥

But what’s more meaningful to me is how we feel like a real team. The support, friendships, and the culture goes way beyond any medals 🐦‍⬛
