Supporting the events that bring our communities together.

One of the primary ways we give back to our community is through our partnership with the Association of Jamaican Alumni Associations (AJAA).

As part of this initiative, we donate 25% of our flat fee from all member event ticket sales directly back to the association.

These funds will help support AJAA’s mission and community work.

Brampton got its first taste of AJAA SoccerFest! ⚽🇯🇲

It was wonderful to see the Alliance of Jamaican Alumni Associations bring this beloved summer tradition to Brampton for the first time. For more than two decades, SoccerFest has brought people together through the love of football and the memories of schoolboy football in Jamaica. (AJAACanada)

There’s something special about seeing Jamaican traditions continue to find a home here in our community.

Thank you to AJAA for bringing SoccerFest to Brampton and for creating such a fun day for families, alumni, and supporters. 🇯🇲❤️⚽

Today, service met purpose at Granville Primary & Infant School as we joined one of seven Diaspora Day of Service projects being undertaken across Jamaica as part of the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference.

Organized through the collaboration of the Alliance of Jamaican Alumni Associations (AJAA), the National Education Trust, and committed diaspora partners, these initiatives demonstrate the power of Jamaicans abroad to make a tangible difference in communities across the island.

It was inspiring to stand alongside Jamaica’s High Commissioner, Jamaica’s Ambassador to Mexico, the Global Jamaica Diaspora Council (Canada), delegates from across Canada and elsewhere, the Jamaican Association of Public Health Inspectors and other partners united by a shared commitment to giving back and investing in Jamaica’s future. From improving learning environments to supporting our children and schools, these projects remind us that the diaspora’s contribution extends far beyond remittances—it is also measured in service, leadership, and community impact.

As delegates gathered for the Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference, today’s work at Granville Primary & Infant School is a powerful reminder that our connection to Jamaica is strengthened not only through dialogue, but through action.

Proud to be part of this effort and grateful to all those who continue to answer the call to serve. 🇯🇲🇨🇦

🇨🇦🇯🇲 Fellow Jamaicans in Canada,

The momentum is building for the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference (June 14–18)!

As part of the National Day of Service, the Canadian Delegation will once again be rolling up our sleeves and giving back to communities across Jamaica. This year, our focus will be on areas impacted by Hurricane Melissa, supporting recovery and rebuilding efforts where they are needed most.

Just as we did at the last Biennial Conference, we are proud to be leading and participating in projects that make a positive impact on the lives of Jamaicans.

It's not too late to register and join us https://bjdc.mfaft.gov.jm . Together, let's continue building the Jamaica we know and love.

Big congratulations to our sisters at @ichsaa_toronto on an absolutely stunning Roaring 20s Gala this past Saturday! Pearls, fringe, feathers, and pure elegance the room was glowing. 🥂🪩 💙 Oh what a night! 💙

The New York Chapter was proud to be in the building. Board members Karlene Largie and Lesleyann Samuel came out to celebrate and represent NY in support 👏🏾 and what a sweet reunion it was with our own former NY Board Member Cheryl Earle Naylor, who now serves as Toronto’s Corresponding Secretary.

Lovely, too, to share the evening with Aileen Chen and Rhona Dunwell of AJAA (The Alliance of Jamaican Alumni Associations).

Every dance and every dollar supports the restoration of the Lisa Narcisse Performing Arts Centre at ICHS in Jamaica. 🎭 Celebrate our culture. Honour our heritage. Build our future.

👉🏾 Head over to @ichsaa_toronto to see the photos and highlight reels and be sure to like, comment, and share with your fellow alumnae! @ichsalumnae876 was in the house as well represented by President Carmela Azan.

📌 Save the date: our NY Chapter Fish Fry returns August 29, 2026!

At the annual KCOBA Toronto Spring Dance – Purple & White Boat Party today aboard the River Gambler with fellow Kingston College family and friends, celebrating friendship, service, and the enduring Fortis spirit. 💜🤍

Always special to reconnect with KC Old Boys across generations, share memories, welcome new faces into the fraternity, and support the continued development of our beloved alma mater. Events like these remind us that KC is more than a school — it is a lifelong brotherhood and a community committed to excellence, service, and giving back.

Proud to be here both as a KC Old Boy and as Jamaica’s Consul General in Toronto, celebrating the strength of our diaspora and the institutions that continue to shape leaders at home and abroad.

Fortis Then. Fortis Now. Fortis Forever.
