BREAKING! 10 more dance organizations from across the U.S. and Canada come together to announce their commitment to the Palestinian call for the cultural boycott of Israel.

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI), a founding member of the Boycott, Sanctions, and Divestment (BDS) Movement, is inspired by the South African Anti-Apartheid Movement. PACBI calls on arts institutions internationally to boycott:

1) Israeli institutions that have not ended all forms of complicity in Israel’s regime of oppression and that have not endorsed the comprehensive rights of the Palestinian people under international law.

2) Cultural products (e.g., performances) that are commissioned or funded by the Israeli state with “political strings” attached or that are produced by complicit institutions.

3) Events or activities that are sponsored by an official Israeli body, a complicit institution, or an Israel lobby group.

4) Normalization projects that bring together Israelis and Palestinians/Arabs on a shared platform without the Israeli party recognizing the full rights of the Palestinian people under international law, and/or projects that suggest Israelis and Palestinians (or Arabs) are equally responsible for the “conflict.”

With the arts as one of the latest targets of fascist attacks by the federal government of the United States, it is clear that silence will not protect us: only unified, principled solidarity can. We must stand with our siblings in Palestine as we must stand with our trans, migrant, disabled, and BIPOC siblings, and all oppressed people worldwide.

If you are ready to commit to the PACBI call, or want to discuss it with experienced organizers, email dancersforpalestine@gmail.com

@allimitecollective and @nettnett_radio will present “Dreams for Gaza; Three Public Acts” in front of the Parliament building of Athens, Greece in solidarity with @initiative.against.genocide . They have been holding space sleeping out in Syntagma for 22 days in an effort to amplify the continued struggle of the people of Gaza. As artists and activists collaborating from Mexico, New York, Los Angeles and Greece, we recognize that our liberation is bound together and we remain steadfast in our commitment. There will be space in the performance for community members to share and participate in the action.

On the 13th of December 2023, @mustafa_sheta was taken at gunpoint from his home by Israel.

Letters To Mustafa, became a global campaign, uniting people from around the world in a powerful act of solidarity—each one writing a letter of hope and support.

On March 30th, 2025, after a long, unjust and violent detention, Mustafa was finally released. In response to the outpouring of global solidarity, he shares his own letter—an expression of gratitude, resilience, and shared humanity with everyone who stood by him.

Throughout April, in celebration of @mustafa_sheta and Zakaria Zubeidi’s release, and to honour the 14th anniversary of Juliano Mer Khamis’s murder, we amplify inspirational acts of cultural resistance from across the globe.

As genocide, invasions and attacks on artists escalate, we hope these acts of creativity and defiance will ignite others, fueling the cultural intifada.

As we begin April, we want to remind ourselves and our community that 8M and the ongoing coalition building work we do, is meant to help us build common ground among our struggles, as well as shape an anti-capitalist feminist horizon for NYC.

As the Women’s Strike NYC Fest showed, collective art making and political performance plays a fundamental role in this endeavor. This is why we want to celebrate March 8th’s powerful collection of performances including:

A Performance from Thank God for Abortion featuring Megan Curet and Viva Ruiz.

Al Limite Collective performing a scene from their play Signals.

Mariachi Femenil Nuevo Amanecer, who interpreted for the first time their version o fLa Bamba Rebelde on our stage.

Feli Rossi with excerpts from her concert, Voces de Mujer.

Sonia Castrejon.

A dancer performance from Maria Camila.

Mafer Bandola and Cindy Rancon, showcasing Joropo music.

…and many more! Take a pick in this reel 🤩
