Layer Cake Stars 2.0 ⭐️

You know when you think, “I just need a quick refresher project…”?

Apparently my version of a refresher is AN ENTIRE QUILT. 😂

Somewhere between opening the layer cake, cutting, piecing, making approximately 8 million flying geese, and assembling this whole thing, I realized I mayyyy not have thought this through. 😂

What I thought would be a nice little refresher turned into a full-blown project.

But LOOK AT HER. 😍⭐️ Worth it.

🧵 Pattern: Layer Cake Stars 2.0 by Allison Ramsing
✂️ Fabric: Mystic Fable by Ruby Star Society

Because apparently I don’t know how to casually refresh my quilting skills. I have to make the whole damn quilt. 😂

I am completely obsessed with my new quilts from @allison.ramsing. 💕💙💜💛💗💝

The first is made with a beautiful collection of @missmelodymiller greatest hits, and the second with @kmelkight. I put Kim’s in my guest room along with her art. She once told me she spent summers nearby in Tahoe Park so I like to pretend it’s her guest room if she ever comes visits Sacramento (this woman is probably going to block me and get a RO against me one day).

If you come to my house, expect a full tour of these quilts whether you asked for one or not. If I haven’t convinced you to try quilting yet, I’m sure you will after seeing these quilts. These are amazing pieces of art and truly stunning. This is why you need to purchase @rubystarsociety fabric from me for your quilts and fabric needs.

Also, if I randomly die anytime soon, please make sure my husband knows these are not to be donated or given to family members I don’t like. These are heirlooms and should be treated accordingly.

A few quilts from one of my favorite quilt designers, @allison.ramsing 🧵✨
My all-time favorite has to be the Charm Square Stars ⭐️ I’ve actually finished one in just TWO DAYS, so needless to say, it has become one of my go-to patterns! 😂
It’s beginner-friendly, comes together quickly, and is such a fun way to let your favorite prints be the star of the show. 🌟🩷
Definitely a pattern I’ll be making again and again! 🧵💕
