In 1897, half of Milwaukee stood in the street staring at the sky, sure an “airship” was flying over downtown. That story, plus 20+ true hauntings from City Hall, the Pfister, the Riverside and the Pabst Mansion, is in @allisonjornlin new book, In the Shadow of City Hall. It goes on sale for the first time at MKE Paracon on Sat Oct 17, come hear the stories and get your copy signed. Free, register at the link in bio!

Guests at the Pfister Hotel have seen skeletal apparitions standing over them while they sleep, furniture moving on its own, shadows that don't belong to anyone... but here's the strangest part: MLB players are the most haunted.

Why is that? Why them? Come to our Milwaukee Shadow of City Hall Ghost Walk to find out: 🔗 in bio.

We’ve still got a few vendor spots open for this year’s Milwaukee Paracon and I wanted to put the word out.
Saturday, October 17, 10am to 6pm, at Kochanski’s Concertina Beer Hall, 1920 S 37th St.
If you sell books, art, jewelry, oddities, ghost hunting gear, or you do tarot or readings, or you run an investigation team or a tour company, this is a good place for you. The vendor area is where people spend most of their day.
A few things to know: it’s $80 for a spot, you bring your own 10x10 table and canopy, and we’re capping it at 20 vendors this year. Several are already spoken for from last year’s crew, so there aren’t many left. Link is at the website or I’ll post it below, thanks!

The Loyalty building from 1886 was the headquarters for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. It was built on the site of the tragic 1883 Newhall House fire. In 2011 Hilton developed the Loyalty building into a deluxe hotel, keeping many of the historic aspects such as the grand iron staircase and the skylight
