EMERGING Professionals Relaunch Event at @mysticfishcamp was really a transformation and labor of love of our Event Director, Keith Padin. So, in order to recap this amazing event, we will hear from Keith, himself. "There's a lot to unpack here. So, stick with me. A few months ago I was sitting in the @mysticchamber office and asked what the benefit of our Young Professionals events were. We discussed a lot and I asked Chamber President @bsflax if I could run with a new idea I had for it. It was an immediate yes. And #MysticEmergingProfessionals got rocking. We decided to get a committee together and immediately Allison Smith came to mind from the @mysticseaportmuseum and a Board Member of the Chamber. She instantly said yes and became our Chair. Next we added Francisca from @secorautogroupct and Tori Heim from @chelseagrotonbank (and from my previous life working together at @athymetocook ) and along with my partner in crime, Megan, the dream team was assembled. We created a mission, benefits, and so much more. Next, we wanted at special kick-off event and @kathleenstandridge and @chefdavidstandridge welcomed the idea and offered up Mystic Fish Camp as the spot and themselves as guest speakers. It all came together and 40+ professionals showed up and the clipboard of EP signups was busy at the end of the night. I've never attended a networking event where A. when the guest speakers were on, every head was looking straight on and no side conversations were had. B. When they asked "any questions" we had many very thoughtful ones. C. When the raffle ended, no one left. Usually that's when the door starts swinging, but these folks stayed and continued fostering this new EP community. A hugely successful relaunch thanks to all the people I mentioned and so many more. But let's get back to this sign. Kathleen and David didn't just put us in a corner, they reserved the center of their busy restaurant for the event. And it wasn't a hand-written ripped piece of paper - it was a branded sign. The intentionality of all they do shows in every little detail and 40+ EPs left tonight with that message. I can't wait to see #WhatsNext. " - @keithatmysticchamber

Community Proud ❤️ Celebrating those who live and work among us. Brought to you by @charteroakfcu Justin Hobart @hue_byjhobart @hobartandco Since founding Hobart & Company in 2009, Justin Hobart has built more than a painting and restoration company. She’s built a team rooted in craftsmanship, trust, and genuine care for the homes and people they serve. Specializing in historic restoration and custom finishes, Justin and her primarily female team understand that restoring a historic home is about honoring its past while creating a space that feels right for the people living there today. That passion for creating meaningful spaces led to her second venture, HUE, where Justin develops custom color palettes based on the people, stories, natural light, and feeling behind each space. Her belief is simple: color should be intentional—and your home should be a place where you can exhale. For Justin, restoration is personal. What began during a difficult chapter in her life became a career centered around restoring homes, building confidence in others, and creating spaces that feel like home. When she’s not working, you’ll find Justin at the gym, on the pickleball court, boating, gardening, power walking with friends, spending time with her two dogs—or experimenting with color on a large canvas. 🎨 To learn more about Justin and previous @mysticchamber Community Proud recipients, go to gomystic.org #womanowned #community #proud #Connecticut

HUE @hue_byjhobart When we walk into our homes, we need to exhale. Color has the ability to do just that. HUE is the color design practice of Justin Hobart, owner of Hobart & Company @hobartandco , painting contractors for 17 years. Justin creates color palettes for people based on who they are: the stories they carry, the light they live in, what has to stay, and how they want to feel every day. When the right color doesn't exist, she makes it. Her work grew from a lifelong interest in how our surroundings shape us, and from years of working one-on-one with people in their homes. She has seen how the right color can change the way a space feels to the people who live in it. HUE creates palettes for homes, offices, and buildings, from a single room to a larger #design project, wherever you are. Every project begins with the same question: how do you want to feel? Based in @mysticct HUE is rooted in the historic homes and coastal light of southeastern New England. (860) 367-7362 Mystic, CT justin@huebyjhobart.com huebyjhobart.com @mysticchamber New Member
