Is cozy-glam a thing? We say yes. (Think cottage-core but elevated with a dash of Slim Aarons and plenty of provenance.) And to prove it we’ll be doing some fireside journaling at one very cozy-glam East Hampton setting.

Join us on Saturday, October 18th at the historic @BakerHouse1650 for an intimate afternoon of mindful writing led by @AllSwellCreative founder @LauraLRubin. Hosted by @Biography_NYC, with light bites by @NightOwlBakerSourdough, and a little take-home glow courtesy of Biography’s cult-favorite Sea Chrome body oil.

Inspired by Biography Skincare, this particular experience will help us draw out and appreciate our own stories, “Because there’s no more important biography than yours.”

Even if you’ve participated in prior AllSwell workshops, this one’s going to have new and different prompts. It’s a founder’s favorite.

A portion of proceeds supports @AChanceForLifeFoundation, a nonprofit founded by three young breast cancer survivors helping women on their surrogacy journeys.

Wow, what a summer. It was not boring.

Summa time full-to-bursting, in the best way. I launched a new digital workshop (“Summer Is Calling”), led the Pathfinder Mindful Writing Retreat at @ValleyRockInn, shared journaling practices with the ATEAM community at @SurfLodge, gathered under the trees at @BakerHouse1650 with @CultivateApothecary, co-hosted an afternoon of regenerative wellness with @celiawchen to celebrate her launch of @chenessa.co , and dove into discussion with author @HeyAmberRae about her newest book at @TheHedgesEastHampton.

Somewhere in there, I also finished my book manuscript (!) and traveled—near and far—collecting pages and places that woke up my senses and inspired ideation. Huge thanks to everyone who wrote with me, shared their stories, and showed up with open minds. Here’s to carrying the sweetness of the season forward.

Feeling like parasocial has peaked? Yeah, we understand. Which is why we gathered IRL in Sag Harbor for an afternoon of regenerative wellness. As longtime friends and colleagues, journaling expert @lauralrubin and health optimization expert @celiachen co-hosted the event in celebration of Celia’s newly launched advisory, @chenessa.co.

The day flowed through rituals that support energy, skin resilience, mental clarity, and whole-body repair. And of course, some custom journaling prompts for longevity (yes, that’s a thing).

Sharing a peek at last week’s AllSwell Journaling Workshop for @CultivateApothecary at @bakerhouse1650, led by our founder @LauraLRubin. We wish you all could have joined us at the writing table, but even if you couldn’t make it, here’s a takeaway to try out. Swipe through for a writing prompt about the concept of conscious cultivation (try saying *that* ten times fast), inspired by our partner, Cultivate Apothecary. ✍️

We sipped @MaisonMirabeau wine, swapped stories, admired local flowers from @AmberWavesFarm, laughed, misted, moisturized. But most of all, we wrote together.

I did it. It’s done. I hit “send” on Friday. Like watching my kiddo climb onto the yellow bus and head off to their very first day of school, my completed book manuscript has left the nest and is on its way.

What I feel is a mix of intense relief, joy, humility at the opportunity I’ve been given and all the support I’ve received — and hope. I am hopeful about what this book can do for others. Putting pen to paper provides an anti-venom for our collective digital malaise. We need creativity, energy and vision in order to solve the complex problems of our time, all of which is supported by the simple and radical act of picking up a pen.

This is my offering, one I’ve doggedly pursued and believed in. I cannot address all the ills of our time, but I can do this. If you have a way out of the darkness, something that’s calling you, I hope you’ll follow the breadcrumbs. Even if people tell you it’s a waste of time, silly or impractical. I heard a lot of that along the way, and it mostly just fueled me.

I also received a ton of supportive, positive reinforcement. Thank you for all your kind words, messages, comments along the way. The phone calls, voice notes, care packages, DM’s that my community provided has mattered more than you could know. I’ve never worked on anything with this long a vista. (The book doesn’t publish until late March, 2026). But when the time comes I look forward to sharing my book baby with you.

For now, I’m going to celebrate with a nap.

I had the best time this week at the lovely @lauralrubin’s @allswellcreative journaling retreat. It was one of my favorite days this summer, such a sweet group of people, made some new friends, and was also able to really write and express from my spirit. Thank you Laura for all you do sincerely… such a gift and I absolutely loved the way you held the day and guided the group. World class truly!

@abertellos hosted us at the amazing @bakerhouse1650 and I was blown away by the preserved beautiful trees and nature so incredible you have done an amazing job.

@stonegatefarmny co-hosted as well featuring her skin care line with all organic botanicals that smelled so good @cultivateapothecary .

Such a treat 💗🧘🏼‍♀️✨🙏🏼 can’t wait for the next one!

Full circle moment at @TheSurfLodge 🌊

Not far from the beach where the idea for AllSwell was born, it felt especially meaningful to return and lead a mindful journaling workshop for @ateam.co ambassadors.

ATEAM is a community built around the idea that movement connects us, and they understand that emotional and physical fitness go hand in hand.

Journaling regularly is like doing “reps” for your mental health. A few minutes a day, a few days a week, and the ripple effects extend far beyond the page.

Grateful to ATEAM for gathering such a thoughtful, engaged group of humans, and for creating space for connections that go deeper than small talk.
