Soooo last Saturday I did a thing. This has been a dream of mine since I started my music career. I hosted and headlined my very first concert! As an independent artist who can't commit to my music full time (YET), this was a MASSIVE undertaking. But by the grace of God, and the blessing of community I DID IT!

In that, I want to take a moment and give some much deserved shoutouts and thank yous!

First the beautiful venue who hosted us. @v12restaurantatl The ambiance truly added to the beauty of the night.

I want to thank my brother @soufbreed , a true God send, and my immaculate host who without you we would not have had a show.

Along with my girls @ms_gigi86 and @de_marie12 who were my right hands the entire night and I could not have survive le the night without.

I thank my fellow show artist; my opener the beautiful @aniyah.janee as well as my incredible featured artist @therealidrisfrench for showing up and showing out!

Furthest from the least, my videographer who captured this incredible night to seal it in my memory vault @djtorres30

Though I can't name everyone individually, I thank my team, my family, my village and my supporters for pushing me, having my back and helping me bring this dream into reality. I believe it's only up from here and I thank God for blessing me to continue on this journey.

Y'all stay tuned, we're just getting started!

Thank you seems so generic, but 🗣️THANK YOU @iron_chief_31

I said this during class but it's worth saying again, I've been blessed throughout my life to have AMAZING mentors/leadership leading & training me. Without them... I'm nothing.

Today was SO much fun. It was also challenging, inspiring, and positive. Who would have thought that I would be here...

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to teach & reach people through fitness. The fitness community God has placed me in is just so BRIGHT & BEAUTIFUL, & I pray I'm always represent them well ☺️✌🏽🤗.

& of course thank you to my family and friends who've been there from the beginning & can say... we knew you would be here 😏.

My Heart is full...

Love y'all 🫶🏽

Life lately: Pilates, peach cobbler, prison ministry, parenting, sneaky grief, dressing up & showing up when I do feel like it & when I don’t. Honorable mention: I got a black eye.

PS - Be the kind of friend you wish you had. “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” Proverbs 27:6

I love to look back at a month and see what God has done. It’s a great reminder that a lot can happen in a 30 days.

Cheers to another fresh start in July. Let’s get to it 🩶

Better late than never! 💖 Throwing back to a beautiful Galentine’s Day event where I got to set up Shop as a vendor. I had an absolute beautiful time sharing my art, selling some art meeting so many wonderful people and listening to incredible lineup of speakers. It was long day with other obligations and I forgot to post! But the memories are too good not to share. #supportlocalartists #galentinesday❤️ #latergram #artvendor #ipreachwithmypaint

Last week I had the opportunity to perform at the national Museum of African-American Museum during BLACK HISTORY MONTH BABY.

With the state of the world and our country right now – it was such a beautiful way to celebrate the music of all the artists have come before me, and to embody their legacy and to be reminded WHY I do this artist thang.

I’m so grateful for my heritage as a black man in this country and to honor the legacy of my heroes: Sam Cooke, James Brown, Little Richard, Maurice White, MJ, Prince, and so on…

But to also represent the legacy of my family, my father, his father, and his father - who were all singers.

It was so special to perform and be my full freak self in front of my family and in front of people belonging to a culture that knows what I’m here to do for real for real.

A super special thanks to @thenmaam and @domj.beats for the opportunity to share my passion and love for music with everyone.

Also, shoutout to @magnoliarisingofficial & @2livebre for their fun performance!

CHEERS TO LEGACY, BABY 🥂
