Yesterday, Tanya’s $50 gift helped move this mission forward. Together with my BMR brother’s $20 gift, we now have 2 supporters this week—18 spaces to go! 🙏🏾

Will you take the next space with a $25 donation? Your support helps Kilometer Kids give children opportunities to move, grow, and belong.

Every gift matters. Donate through my fundraising link, and thank you for being part of this journey. ❤️

The Run for Research RaceTrac 5k ✅
Theme: crazy socks

This was my first time running this race and I can’t wait to sign up for next year. Let’s start with the best part. Most people would say it’s all the goodies and snacks they give you. Although those were impressive, finishing on the Atlanta Braves Truist Stadium baseball field was the highlight for me. That made my heart sing! The Atlanta Braves were my dad’s favorite team. 🫶🏾

The hills were hills. No surprise there! It’s Atlanta and to be expected.

Great venue. Great people. Great time!

Some races are about the clock.

This one was about family.

As I continue coming back from injury, the physical challenge has been real—but so has the mental battle. The doubt. The anxiety. The questions about what my body can still do.

Today, I left all of that behind.

No pressure. No expectations. No focus on pace.

Just gratitude for the opportunity to run alongside the people I love most.

And somehow, that was exactly what I needed. ❤️🏃🏾‍♂️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We’re not done yet.

She has 21 marathons and I have 11 marathons. These are simply numbers, and they are behind us. What really excites us is what lies ahead.

Pink is more than pretty, it is powerful.
And running should be more than healthy for you and fun, it should be safe. ✨

This is what I truly believe.

This first of three photos says a lot. First, I’m just noticing that we took this photo right before the 2024 @nycmarathon and we got the sign in the background when were really just trying to get a quick selfie with @benjohnson763 Second, I now realize that my history of using @shokzusa headphones as my go-to safe, premium headphones for races go back years! When the race, safety and being able to immerse yourself into the experience collide, then Shokz is always there for me. Third, running brings people together, and this photo illustrates that no matter where January and I go in the world, we share the pavement with friends. 🌎❤️

For marathons, I wear the Open Pro 2, and for local workouts and strength training, I wear my OpenDots 2 (if @allthingsjanuary hasn’t stolen them to listen to her books). Until 9/23, you can get you a pair of OpenDots 2 with great discount. Use my code Drkelvinbrown (hope it works 😊🤞🏾) and link in bio. The pink ones are hot! 🔥

Some love just hits differently.

Growing up, I lost my mom at a young age and was raised in a household filled with men. Because of that, I missed out on a certain kind of love, encouragement, perspective, and connection that only women can bring into your life.

Today, when I look at my daughters and the incredible woman by my side, I’m reminded of how blessed I am. Their love, support, strength, and belief in me fill a space that was left empty many years ago.

To be clear, this isn’t about loving one child more than another. My son means the world to me, and I’m proud beyond words of the man he has become. This is simply gratitude for a gift I didn’t have growing up, but have been fortunate enough to experience as an adult.

Life has a way of restoring what was lost—not always in the same form, but often in ways that are just as meaningful.

Today, I’m thankful for the women in my life who remind me daily that love, grace, strength, and compassion can coexist.

And for that, I am truly blessed. ❤️

This was about running—but it was also about so much more. 🏃🏽‍♀️📖

@coachbennett brought his This Is About Running. This Is Not About Running. book tour to Atlanta for a sold-out evening hosted by @weststride in partnership with @nikerunning

He shared stories from his book and life, answered questions from the crowd, signed every copy, and stayed to take photos with everyone. Such an inspiring night filled with running, community, and reminders that the lessons we learn through running reach far beyond the miles. ❤️
