We had so much fun with our “Flamingo Day!” Thanks to @allurahart and her amazing books! We read Allura’s The Perfect Pose, ate off of our flamingo plates, and created flamingo pictures. They also explored Allura’s confidence journal, Stand Tall, Sine Bright! If you have kids or grandkids, be sure to check out her stuff!! 🦩

🦩 Two flamingos. Two stories. One fabulous message:
✨ Be curious. Be real. Be YOU. ✨

In Flamingo, Flamingo by Emily Patriquin (@emilydabbles), young readers dive into the wild and wonderful world of real-life flamingosю Did you know they can drink boiling water and thrive in freezing temps? 😮
It’s packed with fascinating facts, vibrant art, and is even printed in a dyslexia-friendly font. Perfect for curious minds ages 4+.

Meanwhile, in The Perfect Pose by Allura Hart (@allurahart), meet Flo — a flamingo who tries so hard to be perfect… until she learns that her wobbles and wing-flaps are what make her shine. 💖 A gorgeous, empowering story about self-acceptance, confidence, and flapping through life with pride.

📚 Pair them for a flamingo-themed read-aloud that’s equal parts wow and awww.

✨We’re so grateful for this amazing feedback!✨

Katie shared The Perfect Pose with her 1st graders, and they really connected with the message. Hearing that kids not only enjoyed the story but truly understood it is everything🤍✨

This book is all about building confidence and letting go of perfection and it’s reaching hearts just like we hoped it would🫶

Thank you, Katie, for sharing it with your students and for this kind review!
