19 years old. 42.2 kms. 3 incredible boys. And a lifetime of memories. ❤️

I’ve come to realize that running has never really been about the distance. It’s about the people beside you, the memories you make, the challenges you overcome, and who you become along the way.

To my three boys, I truly don’t know where I’d be without you. You make me want to wake up every day and be a better man than I was yesterday. What started as a crazy idea became one of the greatest memories of my life. Through every hard km and moment of doubt, you reminded me that the greatest things in life are never accomplished alone. You make me a better runner, but more importantly, a better person. I wouldn’t have wanted to cross that finish line with anyone else.

To everyone we shared the course with, thank you for every smile, cheer, and word of encouragement. You reminded us how much love and community this sport brings, even among complete strangers.

To everyone who came out to cheer us on, every familiar face, sign, and shout gave us strength when we needed it most. Our feet crossed the finish line, but your support helped carry us there.

To everyone who helped me get here, thank you for believing in me before I believed in myself, pushing me through the hard days, and reminding me what I’m capable of. A piece of this accomplishment belongs to every one of you. I thought the greatest accomplishment would be crossing the finish line. Turns out, the greatest gift was everyone who helped me get there.

One day, the soreness will fade, the medal will collect dust, and the time won’t matter. But the people and memories will stay with me forever.

42.2 kms taught me something I’ll hold onto forever: life isn’t about how far you go, but who you have beside you and who you become along the way.

To everyone who was a part of this journey, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

We just ran a marathon, and somehow that was the least interesting thing about this journey! 🥹❤️

I’ve been behind Jason’s chair all my life, but never for 42.2 km straight.

I’m not really a runner, but somehow, Jason always gets me running.

For the past couple years, we’ve done the @achilles.canada 5K together with my family. Jason in his chair, us taking turns behind him, him cheering us on to go faster, and somewhere along the course he makes his presence known. He encourages people as they pass, people cheer for him, and there’s this energy around him that’s hard to explain. People may think it’s hard to push him while running, but honestly I feel like my legs are weightless when he’s there cheering me on to push harder.

Running with Jason has never really been about the running for me. It’s about getting to experience those moments with my brother.

Now, Jason has a bigger goal. He wants to run the @towaterfront42k marathon.
42.2 km. And as his brother, I want nothing more than to help him achieve it.

Right now, we have a regular wheelchair that works for everyday life but it isn’t built for a marathon. To make this possible, we need a proper running wheelchair designed for longer distances.

I’m not someone who likes to ask for things, but this is something I care deeply about because it isn’t about me, it’s about my brother. I want him to have the chance to achieve his goal, get to that finish line, and experience the same joy and encouragement he gives to everyone else on the course.

So I’m asking our community to help us get there. Whether you donate, share our story, or simply cheer us on from the sidelines, it all means more than you know. I’ll leave the gofundme in my bio.

I’ve spent my whole life behind my brother’s chair and now I just want to see how far we can go together.

That was the motto for this trip. Whether that be during our 10k hike back to the car with minimal food or risking getting a flip 7 in our card game. Those moments of pain come a great reward, these memories.

On Saturday, I was able to attend an @arcteryx Women’s Intermediate Bouldering Clinic called The Sisterhood of Sends hosted by @mayafm3 and @hollytoothill_ at the Squamish @arcteryxacademy !🧗🏻‍♀️💪🏼

Despite still healing from this ankle sprain, I had a great time climbing in Squamish, learning from Maya and Holly, and meeting new people! ⛰️

This trip I was just focused on getting back to climbing and not projecting or doing anything risky before my climbing trip in 2 weeks! But we still ticked some climbs off the list…minus the right heel hook heavy ones 🫠
