Big ol dump to reflect on my second season of racing bikes 💭

I always want more from myself so it’s easy to forget how far I’ve come and all of the things I’m proud of. This season I learned soooo much (understatement) and grew a ton as a person, leader, and athlete. I’m especially proud and honored that I had the opportunity to lead @all.ways.cc & @allways_racing.cc as co-captain in 2026. It’s been so fun and inspiring watching my teammates and friends dream big and reach new heights. So many racers putting in the work and achieving better results, lots of club members trying out racing for the first time.

It’s been a pretty epic summer and loved having my forever wag @annies.gram along for the ride. Already excited for next season 🙇🏼‍♀️

@crossbayroubaix photo dump number one!!!! @robertmullz.jpg went absolutely nutso with the fisheye lens. Tony Hawk would be proud as hell. No one did a single kickflip or nollie pop shuvit though so that sucked… ANYWAY Crossbay Roubaix was wonderful and it’s because of the people tagged in this here post, the riders (sorry you can only tag 20 people total apparently 😓)!!! Be on the lookout for more contents, perhaps in less color???

While it was an “easier” year to go sub 9 (and the big buckle cutoff was moved to 8:15), I didn't even dare say that my goal was 10 hours. While I've ridden longer, climbed higher and pedaled further, I'd never done any of that on a mountain bike; Leadville was literally the second time I raced an XC race.

I didn't just race Leadville, I crushed it. While I crashed early attempting to avoid a puddle on the way to St. Kevin's like so many others, I fought my way back and still managed to pass a bunch of people both before and during the climb.

Passing people on climbs ended up being the theme of the day for me. Tour Divide left me incredibly well prepared to slowly but surely spin up climbs, and I ended up passing almost 70 people between Twin Lakes and the turn around at Columbine. While I did end up walking three steep sections of Columbine, I was the last one off the bike in my group each of those times, and I'm oh so proud of that.

Even things that went wrong ended up working out in my favor. I was super confused about where to get drop bags (or neutral support) at Twin Lakes, and that meant that I didn't stop there in either direction. But that helped me have less than three minutes of stop time across two crashes and two stops at aid stations that I did make; that's the least I've stopped in a race this long.

My favorite moment came late in the race as I rode through one of the aid stations. A young woman excitedly shouted “Go blue girl! ” at me from the crewing area. I hope I've inspired her in the same way seeing others race Leadville inspired me.

I didn't take my gopro with me on race day because it was an easy way to cut grams 😂 But I do have videos from shakeouts. Imagine this stretch of Columbine filled with people pushing their bikes the other way 😳

Wheeeee!!! Turn!!! This is steeper than the gopro makes it look

The one brief video I took with my phone mid race lol

Smiling and towards the front of groups on climbs. Pretty much the day in a nutshell.

Roots were still bumpy and corners were still tight on race day. I shouted "Are we the animals you're photographing??" to
