January update on the Hatteras refit😎lots of work has been completed over the last two months. Hatteras uses a lot of aluminum parts on their boats. The radar arch has been the biggest headache so far with lots of corrosion under the fairing, but that’s done and faired. Every piece of deck hardware has been removed and yard will probably start priming this week. We are also solving some inherent problems like access to all the running gear/equipment under the swim platform, unless you are two foot tall and 30 lbs their is no getting to anything back there, so we are installing two stainless steel water right hatches in the platform. Yard has been very meticulous during every step and calls me at least once a week with a status report. Can’t wait to see the finished product in the sunlight😎
