POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Climbing onto a shed and balancing a phone on a rake just to get the perfect shot.

From daylight into darkness, the Naval Store completely transformed.

The building was originally part of Cockatoo Island’s working dockyard, first used as a tool room and store for the shipbuilding workshops. Over the years it also housed testing and maintenance operations and a pattern shop making components for the dockyard’s foundries.

For MODE Festival 2026, that old industrial space became something very different.

Big ups to the DJs:

A huge Void Acoustics sound system, a packed room, and one punter summed it up perfectly:

“Feels like a Berlin nightclub.”

From shipbuilding workshop to nightclub for a day.

Week update!

Running across the boroughs, inspecting art, and conferences. If you’re tracking me on Find My, it’s not glitching! I’m just zooming around.

We presented our cancer case finding work to the state of Kentucky this week. They’re the state with the highest cancer incident rates and growing. Meeting locals, oncologists, and researchers added a lot of color to the impact we’re driving. So grateful to contribute to social good through my work! Everything was well received and piqued a lot of interest. We’ll be showing more over the coming months across the country. Yeehaw 🏇

The people of Kentucky are so kind, and they love bourbon. I learned that it’s where the Happy Birthday song was invented, as well as the disco ball. No one seems to believe me when I say this but you can fact check it yourself.

I spent one late night with the cicadas staring at the lunar eclipse. I’ve never seen one before but thankfully being out in the country meant clear skies! My friends in New York were complaining about the summer storms obscuring yet another astrological event for them. We should get out of the city more.

I started physiotherapy again. This time they’re doing electrotherapy, laser, and myofascial release to open up my inner knee. Apparently my IT band is also insanely tight and I need to get that sorted. Nonetheless I pushed my squat this week and I’m dumpy (see end of slides).

A bunch of friends from all continents minus Antarctica were in town. It’s very special getting to intersect in the lives of such brilliant, warm, and beautiful people. I constantly feel so lucky to be involved!

On to the next adventure, I’ll be offline (probably) for a fortnight as I tour outback China. 下次见‼️

Within a crumbling paradise, this artists’ sound embodies an enduring spirit that persists within the mechanics. Teasing a curious vitality underneath gritty textures, we are proud to have @allyzli .

alilia is an Eora-based DJ, organiser and co-runner of audiovisual project Cherish (@000cherish). Equal parts instinct and intention, alilia moves through sound with an ear for emotional arcs and unfaltering curiosity. With selections that flirt between the playful and the profound, her sets explore contrast - grit and gloss, tension and release - while keeping the listener firmly in focus.

Through both her audiovisual project Cherish and her collaborative work on A&A (with dub princess Anusha), she continues to solidify her presence whilst reflecting her community -platforming diverse talent from both local and international scenes. Her duality is exhibited through frequent gigs in underground spaces and Sydney institutions such as Club 77.
