⚽️ RSR vs Al- Mateen Foundation ⚽️ RECAP

Yesterday, Team RSR and Al-Mateen Foundation took to the pitch for a deeply special cause. A charity friendly dedicated to raising funds for a water pump in memory of late Naheem Khan. May Allah SWT shower his mercy upon his grave.

The scoreboard may say Rahma Sports won, but the true winners are every single person from the players from both teams, the ref and every spectator who came out and supported this vital Sadaqah Jariya project.

This is the beautiful game at its finest: Using football as a tool to make a difference.❤️

Also a special shoutout to former Real West Brom legend & skipper @chrisbrown7376 who made his debut for Team RSR yesterday and put in a performance that earned him Player of the Match. 🏆🔥

A massive thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and donated.

Your presence and donations will make a big difference,
InshaAllah 🤲

This Sunday, our great friends at Rahma Sports Relief and Al-Mateen Foundation are hosting an 11 a Side Charity Football Friendly, for a special cause and reason.

The match will be honouring the memory of Naheem Khan who suddenly departed this temporary world on the 25th of August, and was the late father of Riz Khan - a member of our organising team at ARCH.

Funds raised from the fixture will be used towards a Water Pump installation. Which will, Godwilling, be a means of ongoing charity for Riz's late father. Whilst also supporting communinities in a deprived part of the world - where clean and safe water can be so difficult to access.

Whilst also helping support Rahma Sports Relief and their £25k 2026 Charity pledge. An absolutely brilliant effort by the Rahma Sports team.

Everyone at ARCH would like to extend a deep thank you to our amazing friends at both Rahma Sports and Al-Mateen Foundation (Funks and Danny and their respective teams) for this generous support and the kindness they have shown to do such a thing and honour Riz's father. Amazing guys. 💚

Whilst also extending our deep thanks to each and every player who will be participating and everyone who has, or will be, donating towards this fundraising pledge. Thank you. 💚

Donations towards this water pump can be made on the RSR £25k fundraising link below. Please use the reference on your donations: NK SJ - 27.9.26:

More details around the match itself can be found on the poster below.

This charity event precedes a local small-sided football tournament which is being organised for Sunday 4th of October, more details are to be shared on this.

Thank you everyone 💚

“Verily we belong to Allah and verily to him do we return.”

Rahma Sports & Al Mateen Foundation will be fundraising towards a water pump as Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) in honour of his blessed memory.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Rahma Sports Relief Community Fun Day on Saturday 15th August!

It was genuinely amazing to see so many people from across our local community come together. Different ages, backgrounds, nationalities and faiths all united by one cause.

The event was held to raise funds to support people in need around the world through @globalrelieftrustuk , particularly across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. When we made our pledge in January 2026, Rahma Sports Relief committed to raising £25,000 by the end of the year.

Thanks to your incredible support, we raised £3,124.85 from the event, taking our total to £20,281!

That means we now have just under £5,000 left to raise, with four months to go!

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our local businesses, organisations, families, friends and the wider community. Every contribution has helped bring us closer to our goal.

We’ve included the logos of some of the businesses and organisations who have supported this community event . If we’ve accidentally missed anyone, please accept our sincere apologies, your support is truly appreciated.

Rahma Sports is more than sport... It’s people coming together, community creating change and together making a difference.

Thank you for being part of the journey. We’re nearly there, let’s finish this together!

Every donation big or small, can make a life changing difference 🤲
