🤍 Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day 🕊️

Four little babies. Four little lives that changed mine forever. Four dreams, four hopes, and four tiny hearts that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. 👼🏻✨

Today, I remember my four precious babies who were taken from me far too soon. Four little souls I never got to hold in my arms, but will forever hold in my heart. Four little people who made me a mum, even if the world never got to meet them. 🤍

Pregnancy loss is a kind of heartbreak that words will never fully explain. It’s loving someone you never got to meet, imagining a future that will never be, and learning to live with an emptiness that no one else can truly see. It’s celebrating other people’s happy news while quietly grieving what you’ve lost, and finding yourself changed forever by something so few people talk about.

Behind my smile are four little babies I will never forget. Four reasons why this day will always mean so much to me. Four pieces of my heart that will forever belong to them. 💫

To my four little angels — I wish more than anything that I could have watched you grow, held you close, kissed your tiny faces and shown you just how loved you were. I wonder who you would have been, what your personalities would have been like, and all the beautiful memories we should have made together.

You may not have been with me for long, but you will always matter. You will always be loved. And you will always be mine. 🤍

Four babies. Four losses. A lifetime of love. Forever my babies, forever in my heart. 🕊️🤍

RIP Dolly Parton.

Alicia and I were so fortunate to recently attend the closing night of the play @steelmagnoliasau - Australia at @athenaeumtheatremelb . Jessica Redmayne was superb as Shelby and it was my first time seeing Lisa McCune’s fine stage work as M’lynn.

The stagecraft and partnering was remarkable as the script runs fast. The very nature of the set proves a masterclass in the use of the 4th side (The side of the set open to the audience).
The actors placed the imaginary salon mirrors out to the audience and it ment we got to see so much of their performance. I’ve never seen a play achieve this so naturally as it’s often that illogical ’walk to nowhere’ actors get forced to do so the audience can see them. I assume they rehearsed in detail using mirrors.

The play itself hits close to home for me as, like Shelby, I too am a type 1 diabetic and also in regards to the setting of the play, I grew up with a hair salon attached to my home that my father built for my mother (by converting the garage) called the ‘Genie hair, nail and beauty salon’.

Much like for the playwright (Yes, it’s a true story) the women in this salon were: Joyous, motherly, dear friends and an immensely positive influence on me.
I observed it was a significant, happy and fulfilling time for them. Seeing happy adults has always caught my attention.

Dolly Parton was so perfectly cast in the film as Truvy and, yes, Mums salon had their Dolly Parton also.

There will undoubtedly be a screening of ‘Steel Magnolia’s at my place soon.

All my love to the women of the world who contribute heartfelt joy. Not only in your workplace, but also in your homes.

-Steve. Xo

Such a memorable weekend had with my beautiful fiancée, @afay_11 (Alicia),
A Happy Anniversary.
5 years in and we are just getting started.
Back to where it all began (where I asked her to be my girlfriend) at @bettys_burgers , followed by a couple of nights at the @hotelchadstonemgallery , a notable dinner at @pastorerestaurant and at least a few stores explored @chadstone.au
All very luxurious, but the ultimate gift? Time together.

5 Jackson’s out of 5 for ‘MJ The Musical’!
@mjthemusicalau
The show was remarkable. I have no idea how they even began to cast the role of Michael Jackson.
Looking over at @afay_11 to witness the joy the show brought her was the best feeling in the world. The ultimate, Thriller.
