1. Improves ability to maintain higher intensities without fatigue.
2. Increases lactate threshold, delaying performance decline.
3. Develops efficiency at race-relevant paces.
4. Execute via RPE 7–8, HR ~155–170bpm, controlled discomfort.
5. Maintain pace within ~10 sec between kms to ensure consistency.
