This past weekend our Worthy Architect (Ingrid Binkis) had the honor and privilege to represent the Rabirius chapter at this years leadership conference hosted at Arizona State University!

Here we gained strategies for our chapter operations, expanded our network across other chapters, as well as hear from guest speaker Teresa Rosano on community design through the Tucson hope factory micro shelter village.

Thank you to nationals for setting everything up and for Arizona State University for hosting us this weekend! It was so valuable to gain new insights and make lifelong connections with the brothers from the other chapters!❤️💙

This past weekend, our Worthy Associate Architect, Tony, had the privilege of attending the Alpha Rho Chi Leadership Conference in Tempe, Arizona!

He had the opportunity to connect with representatives from Alpha Rho Chi chapters from across the nation, exchange ideas, and grow as a leader within our organization.

The lovely Shankland House, home of the Andronicus Chapter of Alpha Rho Chi Fraternity of USC, in University Park (since 1922).

Built in 1896, and known and appreciated for its Colonial Revival style, this LA Historic-Cultural Monument was designed by architect Sumner P. Hunt, and originally built for James H. Shankland, a prominent Los Angeles attorney

The house has been preserved by the student chapters and the S.A.R.C.H. Alumni Association.

Alpha Rho Chi (APX) is the nation's only co-ed professional and social fraternity dedicated strictly to architecture and the allied arts.The fraternity's name originates from the first three letters of the Greek word for architecture (ἀρχιτεκτονική). Its national motto is Fidelitas, Amor et Artes ("Fidelity and Love of the Arts").

Rooted heavily in Architecture, membership expands across all Allied Arts, including interior design, landscape architecture, civil engineering, construction management, urban planning, and digital design fields.

It bridges the gap between a social fraternity (housing, lifelong friendships, social events) and a professional society (networking, professional development, corporate mentorship).

I really admire this place, and I'm grateful that it's being lovingly protected and recognized as being an important Los Angeles structure.

After two years of commitment, growth, and support for one another, we are proud to officially be initiated!! What started as a simple idea became a community and a brotherhood and now Phaeax is an official chapter of the Alpha Rho Chi organization! Congratulations brothers!

Happy 112th Founder's Day, Alpha Rho Chi! APX was founded on April 11, 1914 as the nation's first fraternity for architecture and the allied arts.

Vern Swansen joined APX as a brother of the @apxandronicus Chapter at University of Southern California. In the late 80s while teaching at Cal Poly SLO, Vern was instrumental in the founding of the @apx_daedalus Chapter.

This painting 'Alpha Rho Chi Headquarters - Philippine Trench AD.2284' features an imaginative structure made of APX chapter cadencies. This piece was gifted by Vern to Heather and Dave Larsen, who are brothers of the foundation and threshold pledge classes on the Daedalus Chapter.

Today we celebrate 112 years of Alpha Rho Chi!

Established on April 11, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois, APX became the first national architecture fraternity. We are grateful for all the memories we’ve shared, thankful for our national brotherhood, and excited for what’s to come. Happy birthday, Alpha Rho Chi! 🎂

78th Annual National APX Convention Recap!! ⚜️
A few weekends ago, 6 of our brothers had the opportunity to travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to discuss topics relating to national business, professional development, and recognitions. We were so thankful to reconnect with fellow APX chapters and alumni from across the country!
