🤙🏾 Who Really Brought The Whistle To ΑΦΑ First?! 🧐

Bruhs, lock in. Neos, state your case. Prophytes, drop some history. 🎓👇🏾

Let’s settle a classic yard debate. We all know that distinct whistle that cuts through the noise at a party, step show, or probate.

It commands the room, sets the rhythm, and keeps the line perfectly locked in during a stroll.

The specific tradition of blowing a whistle to command a stroll line is heavily claimed by different chapters across the regions. Some say it traces its roots back to the birthplace at

Alpha Chapter (Cornell).

Others swear it was birthed in the south by powerhouse chapters like

Beta Nu (FAMU)—especially given their heavy influence on classic stroll culture like the “Alpha Walk”.

Meanwhile, a few prophytes will argue that the whistle is a newer-school addition that shouldn’t be overused on the yard.

Every single line thinks their chapter or their region does it best, but only one can claim the origin.
