During the first day of the NCS/OS Wrestling Championships on Friday, February 20, 2026, Reina Whitlock of @cif_oakland_section @otathletic Oakland Tech High School secured a dominant victory over her opponent from College Preparatory School via fall (pin) at the 1:27 mark of the first period.

This win was a key part of Whitlock’s undefeated run through the 235 lbs bracket, which culminated in her winning the individual NCS title on Saturday. Her performance, along with the first-place finishes by Layla and Shayna Ward, propelled the Oakland Tech Bulldogs to a 5th place overall team finish. Whitlock will now join the Ward sisters to represent Oakland Tech at the CIF State Championships in Bakersfield, beginning February 26, 2026.
