A wonderful piece of SpoonTree history...

This footage captures the very first iteration of The Shneedles, with Wolfe Bowart and Bill Robison bringing down the house at the Hawaii Jugglers’ Festival in 1996.

This rowdy physical comedy act became the seed of an extraordinary career. From touring Germany’s varieté circuit with The Shneedles, Wolfe went on to create the acclaimed solo productions LaLaLuna, Letter’s End and The Man the Sea Saw, delighting audiences of all ages in 25 countries around the world.

Today, together with Xochitl Martinez, he continues to create original visual theatre through The WoBo Show, crafting new stories with impeccable comic timing, inventive physicality and boundless joy!

Every journey begins somewhere. This was one unforgettable beginning. Huge thanks to Alan Plotkin @alplotkin for preserving and sharing this footage - a little piece of theatre history.

Because life is art, and art is a reflection of life.

Being an artist is no easy feat in this world, yet I can't imagine choosing any other path.

I'm so grateful to have shared this act at @moisturefestival this past April. A special thank you to the incredible team at Moisture Festival for championing live performance and creating a home for artists to keep taking risks.

Booking available for holiday season

Thanks dear friends for coming out to support —and showing up for live local performance art. And Jim, always my anchor. @mp_letourneau said that she had
another amazing experience at @moisturefestival ✨

A special thanks to @cornicellophoto for the photos and @alplotkin for the videos - your talent & expertise is much appreciated!

I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to share version 1 of this creation on my new table with canes. It’s just the beginning. I never thought I would do canes, I never thought I was capable because of limitations I created in my lil head. That’s not reality, though. We’re capable of so much. I’m not double jointed, I started contortion at the age of 20, and a lot of my focus goes towards pole and aerial. But I’m disciplined, and perhaps slightly crazy, and found a way to make it work for me. I definitely encourage my students, and really any artist out there, to stay in your lane and find what works best for you…there’s nothing more special than putting something of yourself in your work. Despite the fact that I’m dressed up as the Cheshire Cat lol, this has been a sacred experience and means a lot to me. 💜

This act is not about being more powerful than anyone else ... it’s about believing in myself so hard that it crowds out all the self doubt. Even in the midst of “messing up” … even when surrounded by badass, intelligent, stunning, strong, sexy, empowered, resilient, amazing, world-class humans I’ve had the privilege of being around my entire life💥🖤👠

What a special, supportive audience to debut this act for. Who supported even harder when I spun my loop around the cyra 😅 . Thank you @aerialisto for the space to debug that in between shows, @lieucious for doing the heavy lifting all weekend, @alplotkin for these videos, @kikimorafashion for this catsuit, @clubhellaheels for these sexy midnight heels. And the entire team of @moisturefestival for your magic 🥲🌧️☔️🩵
