Had a really enjoyable visit with Ellen Altfest and Rob Colvin this week. Both doing inspiring and great work. Visited with a sculpture I made of Ellen’s “studio” in the woods back in 2014. It’s hard to photograph as the leaves camouflage a lot of the details. It was a fun piece to make and questioned what is a “studio”. Ellen has a show coming up in NY in January and Rob has been creating ArtSensei an AI tool that gives meaningful feedback on paintings and drawings. Thanks Rob and @altfestival

Was on 39th street. I met Morris, the owner for 50 years. This window felt like a sequined ✨holy family at discount prices, with 💡divine light from a floor lamp.

Extra special appreciation 🙏for @derekellergallery @abbykatemessitte @goodwill.hunter, Cian Mesch, @bugloverphat @natothompson @mike.glier @altfestival @katyhamer @phong.h.bui @brooklynrail for supporting me and my work. I am eternally grateful.😘😘😘

I'm thrilled to chat with these 3 luminaries @altfestival @mike.glier @natothompson who each have been long term influences on me; particularly on the subject of observation and attention as a counterbalance to how technology affects our bodies and sense of time. Please join us for this lively discussion. Free and open to the public.
