The “Don’t Tell My Wife” Engine Package™ 🤫

You're looking at @mikevanesch’s complete front subframe assembly.

This engine made 480 hp last year on a Garrett G25-550. The turbo has now been upgraded to the Gen II G25-585, paired with a custom 3D-printed turbo manifold designed by Mike himself.

The new setup addresses the sealing issues we had with the previous manifold, while the switch from a T25 flange to a 2,5" V-band gives us a significant increase in cross-sectional area, less back pressure and more turbine housing options. Together with the upcoming cams there should be some more power to be found.

Removing the complete assembly made a lot of sense here. With the tightly packed low mount turbo setup, it gave me the space to make sure everything could be routed properly and fit exactly how we wanted.
I designed a custom turbo brace to support the weight of the turbo, with the oil return integrated through the brace.

The manifold was welded by @fb_awt and machined flat and Cerakoted in-house, all lines have been rerouted, and the 3" downpipe clears the @spsmotorsport BMW gearbox conversion nicely.
The compressor housing was prepared for custom aluminum intercooler piping and more clearance at the steering rack. More on this soon.

This was a hell of a lot of work to make everything fit absolutely mint, but the end result was well worth it.

The @supermiata Xidas aren't looking too bad in there either. 👀

A little update from behind the scenes!

Apparently some people think I’ve disappeared lately 😅 Quite the opposite — things have been extremely busy, and first of all, I’m incredibly grateful for that.

The amount of support, orders, projects and trust in Hummelink-Modifications has honestly been amazing.
Something most people probably don’t know: Hummelink-Modifications is still basically a one-man show. I often see “Team Hummelink” and get the impression there’s a whole team behind the company. I’ll take that as a compliment 😂

But for the most part, the webshop, workshop, orders, emails, product development, engine builds, packing and administration all end up with me.

The schedule has been very tight for quite some time. Unfortunately, that has meant some of you have waited longer than I’d like for an order, project or simply an email reply.

And to anyone I’ve kept waiting too long, replied to too late, or otherwise let down along the way — I genuinely apologize. Being busy doesn’t make a delay any less frustrating, and it’s something I really hate.

It’s a constant balance between answering everyone and actually getting the work done. Sometimes answering messages means falling behind in the workshop, and sometimes getting work finished means falling behind on messages.

I’m probably doing the work of three people at this point, which might explain the “team Hummelink” part 😅
I’d love to bring someone in full- or part-time, but the business simply isn’t quite there yet. Luckily, I have some great people helping me here and there, which I’m extremely thankful for.

So mostly, this is just a big thank you.
Thank you for the orders, projects, patience, recommendations and especially the trust in what I’m building.

I’m still here. Still building, developing, packing orders and answering emails — just occasionally a little further behind than I’d like. ❤️

The Hummelink/@skidsntea/@spsmotorsport trackday on 25-26 July 2026 was an absolute blast!

From perfect summer conditions on Saturday evening to the challenging mixed wet and dry track on Sunday, it was two days full of driving, learning and good company.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, SPS Motorsport, Skids 'n Tea, Hummelink-Solutions, XC-Vans, Circuit Meppen, the marshals and everyone working behind the scenes.

Podiumtechniek viert 15 jaar innovatie op CUE 2026

Tijdens deze editie staan we op een nieuwe, prominente locatie bij de ingang in HAL 2 – Stand 2.205.

Dit jaar introduceren we twee nieuwe exclusieve merken:

• Aluvation – maatwerk aluminium- en metaalconstructies

This breathertank has been used on several of our customer and shop projects. It's a bolt-in fit, using original located bolt holes.
Available with AN-10 or 10mm barb fittings.
It's lasercut out of 6068 aluminum and professionally hand TIG welded. Featuring a tripple baffle design with foam insert, keeping oily vapors out of your enginebay.
Easily drained with the brass drain plug, conveniently cleaned with the removable top cover.

Note that the stock airbox has to be removed. Fits with ITB's, low mount turbochargers and various intake kits.

Gotta love some custom fabrication.

Here's the first useable version of the carbon plenum, together with a @spsmotorsport halfsize radiator kit.
This will be part of a build ITB VVT we're about to finish.

This beauty of a intake system will make sure it gets the coldest air possible! It already had the previous Hummelink-modifications 4A-GE ITB kit installed.

All these products will be available on the webshop soon. I'm figuring out how to fabricate the baseplate setup for production. The final version will probably end up with more billet and less welding. It was a pretty difficult part to make with heat/warping and sufficient space for welding. More on this soon!

Hidden shop car project!
I've been secretly spending every spare minute on this NB-FL in the past months.
@narek.mrad absolutely killed it on the livery!
Definitely hit him up, or contact Hummelink-modifications for custom liveries.

This NB was close to being parted out, as it was in very bad condition, but it had loads of goodies, like a complete OEM Mazdaspeed body kit, 1.8vvt, Torsen, and some boost preparations.
Glad the outside is now back to spec, eventhough there's more to come.

More pictures of the process will follow soon.
It's time for the enginebay and interior now, stay tuned for much more!
